I'm currently working on a section of my webpage and on some new content, and I want to know what questions you have on Taverns. Leave them here and I will do my best to answer them, or incorporate them into Ashes101, and my new video and my livestream tomorrow.

This, and can a rented room be used for storage while waiting to establish a freehold somewhere?
Will we be able to progress through the parlor games system (for example: become a Verra-famous gambler and gain access to card tournaments)?
Will players be able to design and create their own parlor games, and share them with others?
Will freehold tavern owners be able to set rules for their establishments (no dancing on tables!) and kick/ban players for violating them?
Will the "safe zone" afforded to freehold owners be extended to their tavern patrons? If so, can it be revoked?
You can rent a bed, I do not know about a room. That's a good one. A fully rented room might be in the purview of an inn.

They've already said you won't be able to ban people from your freehold due to the mechanics of the game. The freehold mechanics thing for safety was sort of reference when they said you could tell people to "take it outside" They didn't really mention a parol games horizontal progression, and since games are games of chance I don't think you could really have a hierarchy tree like other things. A ranking tree sure.
Cannot "co-own" a tavern, but you could set the access to it so other players could access the building and do things like restock I suppose.
Its a business, but not an Artisan profession. Your cooking/brewing will affect your tavern as you will be serving up items for sale. They go hand-in-hand.
That we don't know yet. We do know that a house can only take up about 50% of a freehold, now if that holds true for Taverns as well, we don't know

Since the wiki says it is unlikely that tavern owners will be able to ban players from their tavern, will there be mechanisms in place to prevent players from participating in localized tavern chat, should the tavern owner decide that some patrons are rather... unruly?
That's about all I can think of at the moment. Just throwing out ideas.
- Can a tavern advance through different stages?
- Can it be spec’d to provide a higher specific set of bonuses over others?
- Can a tavern have a reputation relative to it’s node?
- Would it have a register (or some such) that could provide core metrics to the tavern owner so they could manage their own supply chains? Or say the names of guests if a bounty hunter is tracking someone...
- And just for fun... could a tavern be converted into a brothel? There are several other questions there, but let’s answer the categorical question first. 😉
They have not said anything about a CCG, but it would be cool. That would be a lot of work to do at launch, it might be something they do later after launch.
We don't know what level of control the Tavern owner will get over local chat, but its possible there will be a Tavern Chat that you access when you arrive, that the Tavenr owner is the moderator of, since they've already said there will Player Chat Channels.
I brought this point up as well for people who abuse the VOIP.
I also brought up the music thing. Its a great question. I think the FFXIV jukebox is a good solution, but who knows what sort of plans they have.
We do not know the level of player agency, but we do know the Tavern owner will be allowed to set the things you talk about like putting up quests for ingredients. We don't have the details on it. Yes, if there is a reward for a quest, the tavern owner needs to set up the reward system, so any gold comes out of the Tavern owner's pocket.
We know people can sponsor bounties, but we don't have more details to that.
We didn't hear about quests giving the Tavern XP, XP for taverns was how many guests you server.

Yes Taverns are Freehold Buildings so they do have levels.

No, a Tavern can't be a Brothel. They are going for that T rating.
I want to ask if we could have mechanics for spoiled and fresh food; vaults (furniture) or bags (portable) for keeping food fresh. Campfires for making better food outside. This would be unlocked at high lvls of profession.
I would love drinks that require alchemy products or other cross profession stuff.
Can you buy a bard who has rumors for areas of interest?
Will you get a bonus on rumors if connected to the thieves guild? (will they be connected to other mechanics)
Will sleeping in a bed reduce the recovery of alcohol poisoning?
Is there alcohol poisoning? (Drunkness)
Will taverns feature special games for each race?
Can taverns be destroyed in node wars?
Alchemy probably not for the drinks, and pretty sure they moved Brewing into Cooking, but lots of things remain.
They talked about a freshness factor, but that starts to be more survival game-esque, instead of MMORPG flavored.
Quests - Yes you can set quests on your board
Buy a Bard - Yes...but it would be paying coin to other players who share stories, rumors, etc
Rumors - Good question - no information on that and I doubt they'd leek that to us this early
Sleeping - I don't think we get alcohol poisoning, not really a theme for a T rated game
Drunkness is not a confirmed mechanic
Parlor Games by race - probably since everything else seems Racially flavored, but no hard confirmation
Taverns inside the Node can be disrupted during Node Wars, Monster Coin Events, but they can be rebuilt.
