I was just showing off cool armour
I hope we get some faulds
While irl they can look too extra
If a bit stylized, the curvature of the fauld and the hourglass shape of breasplate makes a nice siluette to look at
I mean, in the Fate night one (is it Saber? I forget) she's just wearing a dress with gauntlets, some sheets to cover what I'm guessing is the side of her legs and not much else.
Giving your woman a full plate of armor is by definition "raising" the ante.
Do not take this as me disliking anime, I'm a big anime (though more manga) fan. I just think a maiden clad in plate is much more epic and badass than one wearing a frilly dress. Then again in Fate you could be naked and obliterate a whole city
Saber is the one I linked. The dress version is her using low amounts of power. The one I linked is based on real English Armor during their make believe time period. Since she's based on a fictional character who was based on a potentially real person.
At full power she wears full plate mail with her king cape, crown, and sword.

Grotesque
The real Arthur was a roman from 450-550 called Ambrossious possibly.
Byzantine had the concept of Palatini, palace guards by the years 600.
Charlemagne wanted to be considered a Roman Emperor during the years 800.
He took Palatini. The concept of Paladin was born.
The concept of round table was introduced. Charlemagne used religion to create an empire, palace guards are now pious guards.
-Then during 1200 some french monk picked the story.
Monk was french, Lancelot was from french origin and a self-insert. Lancelot was op (french) and stole Arthurs (now an english dude) his gf.
Morgana was made bad. Women are sinful.
Merlin became less druidic and more suited for religious narrative.
Grial concept was invented as something christian.
The pure, pious, white knight love concept and all the romantic crap is introduced at that time.
The kingdom that broke was the Roman Empire.
Avalon is at the south east of England. I think.
People from 2021 imagine full plate from the 1500. Not even by the time Lancelot was introduced they would be wearing full plate.
Two handed swords weren't a thing until 1xxx, and they werent even popular until 1300.
I love Arturia and other fantasy approaches of the story nonetheless.
Be funny if they put the ooga booga mask from courage the cowardly dog.

This would be me a Tulnar samurai fighter/tank
Not the mask I had In mine but sure what ever
* Cultures of the game
* Areas and climate of the game
* Lore of the game
Most styles can be mixed, or to some extent used in some way shape or form.
I do however have some i really dislike. That would be the JRPG, Final Fantasy, Anime " cute " creations with fluffy bunny ears and tiaras etc. That has it´s place in certain games absolutely, but i would not want to see it in AOC, just as i would not like to se Warhammer 40K armor or a full Native American attire.
As for what is found where, i hope it´s based again on culture and what sort of materials are available.
A metal helmet as an example is not just " tadaa " made in a whiff, and you do not create a leather chest harness of just any sort of leather...so i hope we get to travel and trade for what we need where we live.
