But I loved what they delivered in that video... OMG those dragons!
That raid looked really well done. Definitely an easy fight but obviously we aren't looking at other raiders trying to counter them during it. This will spice it up a bit : ).
I'm looking forward to not being able to drop items. Clears up a big issue before it could become an issue with corrupt people dropping loot to friends.
The raid thing did not yield as much information as I had hoped.
Twitch chat seemed crazy when the 500$ price for a unfinished product that requires patience and work was brought up (Alpha 1). I hope none of those people buy the alpha 1 key. As Steven was explaining the reality of a true alpha people were saying bad things about charging for alpha... kind of annoying, but when is twitch chat not annoying?

On May 06, A1 access for $500. On May.05, give more detail.
As someone who likes the idea of being a mercenary to escort caravans, that last tidbit seems very intriguing.
In the event that no NPC mercs are allotted for by the castle ruler, I could see a revolt happening, and mercenary guilds joining in the defense of the castle so as to preserve the demand for their services.
Yeah people were echoing some of my stances but in the stupidest ways.
Steven said it best, don't pay to test a game if what you're looking for is to play the game. The game is an alpha and will require the appropriate mindset. The world and character made might be deleted every other day. Mechanics may not be implemented. Archetypes will be missing etc etc.
I am a staunch believer in getting in for the beta at the earliest. But yeah, people in twitch chat were acting pretty dumb
The custom lighting changes that Intrepid made to the UE4 environment really make a great visual difference!
He looked pretty mean too.
But I agree that the dragons seemed like pushovers.
Having not seen the livestream, this tells me I dont really need to.
Yeah, nothing important in terms of gameplay/mechanics, just pretty cool visuals.
Will you be able to have as many mounts on you at want at one time or will it be limited in some way? I kind of like the idea of it being limited in some way, like you can only have one mount equipped at a time and you can only equip mounts at a stables or warehouse.
Of course, Steven died a few times in the beginning, like he typically does before activating cheats.
Cool, because raiders are well known for caring about visuals over gameplay.
Got a time stamp?
Someone you otter know.
02:04:40 in the VOD.
Another bit of info that might (or might not) be of interest to you at 2:18:05; they talk about character progression vs account-wide progression. From the way they're talking it seems things like attunements (if they exist in AoC, I don't know if they do or not) will be character specific
I didn't watch the stream, but there is ways to lose your mount? Like they die ir can be drop when you die? Or they are permanent
Not really expecting a "world" boss to go overboard with mechanics. I know, this is the siege event that is technically instanced. It seems like a tuning pass hasn't really been done as they made it sound like the bosses have just recently been designed / created.
It seems like that won't be the case for normal mounts. They'll die in combat and after a cooldown period you'll be able to summon them again.
Some Royal mounts however, once you mount them for the first time, they'll have something like a 45 day lifespan before they're good and gone and you have to somehow achieve them again.
I certainly hope so. Because for the Forest Dragon and the Ice Dragon it mostly seemed to come down to: DPS it and dodge puddles. And the Forest one died in under 5 minutes.
The Fire Dragon did seem to have more interesting mechanics to avoid wipes.
I recall them saying that the dragons on A1 release will have more mechanics than they did on stream. That probably means they'll get a health pool pass as well.
I was asking because the game have a breeding system so if mounts can`t be lost or died how Will be the economy for them? Like in Albion , they are really expansive and there is an strong economy around mounts because you can lose them in pvp
I am assuming it is for testing purposes only, and not to be a part of the final game. Those dragons might be moved to real locations at a later time or reworked.
It did seem strange to me too though.
