The dead do not squabble as this land’s rulers do. The dead have no desires, petty jealousies or ambitions. A world of the dead is a world at peace

I'm always a fan of AoE looting. Takes so much stress of your hand if you don't have to spam a single key, just to loot after every killed monster. Guild Wars 2 even allows you to auto-AoE loot, which is even more comfortable for the players.
In my opinion it's a must function to at least offer the players. Why would you want to force people to click more than necessary? In the end we have to stop playing an hour earlier, just because we had to spam the loot button too hard
If you're worried that the inventory gets full too fast then, just include another option for it in the settings.

    - Add an option to enable/disable auto- & AoE loot.
    - Add an option to only auto-loot gear over a certain quality.

If people then make use of it or not is their business, but at least it should be offered as an option.

PvP is a different story. Here I could probably live without an auto-loot function
  • I think it comes down to how and how often stuff drops.
If Im going to have to loot every corpse it might as well be automatic.
I would really hate to see mobs dropping trashloot that u need to gather and sell to npcs. These always leave me feeling like devs didnt care.

Having loot system where stuff is visible on floor and I can instantly see if i can ignore it. I think active looting will be bearable, aoe or not.

I've PvP'd with auto loot, single loot, aoe loot, pet loot and mailed loot. PvP occurs when players meet, not when players loot. Besides, a dead player will drop loot. I'd rather have the option of getting all the loot i can from PvP rather than having loot strewn across the floor which I can't loot.

I wonder if dwarf skeletons are better at mining than other skeletons? Things I must test more
