The animation locked lunge has to go it really does feel so very bad plus auto attack needs to be a mouse click no matter the mode. The very first thing I do is press Z to go into action combat mode and that is how I play my entire session. In all honesty IMO there should be no hitting a key to switch modes you should be in action mode all the time.

IF they ever go back to having to click/press for each attack, then the attacks need to be MUCH slower. Having to click 3 times every second for longer fights is not a fun time for many.

Also...is there a reason they should force everyone to play in action mode? If you like the mode then use it, that's why it is there...to be an option.

i dont know i played mage and to keep attacking with my wand i only had to hold Q dont know if it is diffrent with other weapons but Q attack is fixed on the Weapon and the reason for skills is to use them so i dont need a locked auto attack. didnt play cleric to much but when on fights on bosses i wondered wy clerics use a melee weapon and running around and from time to time make a skill of a heal and not useing a wand or tome to do Q attacks from far.

well forceing in action mode i mean like it or hate it noone forces you to play it if you dont like it. i like that theres diffrent types of modes to play as mage i would also like sometimes to lock my aoe attacks on the target cause i often dont se the targeting on the ground if to many skill animations happens around bosses so it more a gamble.

I agree that basic Q attacks could be toggle on/off on preference. No need to spam it if it's being used a lot for any reason.

I would also like to see a change to Mage's Prismatic Beam when using it while tab-targeting. Currently it is most likely to miss since the angle of camera is up so the beam goes to the ground. I'd like to see either a camera angle change closer to first person or have the beam lock on like any other spell. Currently with tab-targeting player manually puts the camera angle to an awkward position where they can't see the enemy they are shooting with Prismatic Beam.

I understand that this is not a problem with action mode!

The basic attack currently locks the whole body. It moves you forward to where ever you are facing. It becomes worse in action camera mode as your character will turn immediately as soon as you move your mouse. It creates a sliding motion which is kind of annoying and a little bit dizzying when it happens.

I am someone who prefers to move while attacking, not being able to do this forces me to simply stand and hold the basic attack button. The tab combat centric gameplay is not helping the game develop the action combat in a good way at all.
