Similar to our past streams, we'd love to gather some questions from you to answer live! Please submit your question for our development team in the thread below, and we'll select 10 of them at random to answer at the end of our livestream.

    Is Ashes of Creation still going to have "Elite Skills"/Ultimates (Powerful abilities that have huge cooldowns)?
    If yes, can one of these be mentioned or fleshed out verbally, so we have an idea of how powerful these will be and what we can expect (if things have changed)?

    Ultimate skills were mentioned in 2017, but only in conjunction with the combo-system which have since been deprecated. As an example the Tank was supposed to have a "Super Hero Jump" where he would lasso all on impact. Link

    Will there be different Weapon Talent Tree's for One-handed weapons vs One-handed weapons + shields (ex. One-handed sword vs sword and board). The flexibility to create a fighting style is what I want to see
  • Will NPC's/mobs use attacks/abilities/spells from the player character pool of attacks/abilities/spells accompanied with their own attacks/abilities/spells?

    I'm curious to know if player characters are completely disconnected from what we fight.

    A friend of mine asked me to ask here whether there will be any cosmetic or armor pieces more revealing than the default clothes on characters when they're not wearing any clothes or armor. Purely for the purposes of infiltrating and researching ERP communities of course.

    I want to ask Steven, as an mmo player, what would be a good carrot on a stick, once he will reach max lv and top gear.
    What should be in an expansion to keep high lv players always excited?

    About player corruption gain, when you on purpose single target heal/buff a target who deals killing blow to a non-combatant player, do both of you gain corruption or only the one who deals the killing blow?
  • Will damage dealers still have to build defensive stats to be effective in PvE encounters.
  • Do you get the corrupted status if you team up with a corrupted player and hit a non-combatant player without killing it or healing the corrupted teammate while they are killing a non-combatant?

    Is there (still) currently any plan for underwater combat by player characters, and if so, will this include standard or modified melee, or just be limited to specific skills, where some work in aquatic combat and some don't?

  • Will there be any skills associated with different weapon types (mace,chain flail, whip, sword, etc)? Or will weapons just vary in stats, such as atk. Speed and damage?
  • Will there be any support for converting/exporting game files to 3D print? For instance, when we get a shiny new sword or helmet, maybe we could pay to export the model as a printable file. Revenue for you, swag for us, and “free advertising”!

    There is a pretty big community for it in SWTOR, but it is pretty much all people hacking the game files and developing their own tools to do so. Official support for this in AOC would be amazing.
  • A few curious questions, hope you will bear with me here!

    1. Will there be hidden stats that will be generated for the player who meets certain special requirements, (i.e. a player obtaining a courage stat from playing a specific race and class together, and the courage stat decreases the effectiveness of CC effects? Or even a leadership skill from playing as a summoner and having a better leadership skill the better your summons can follow your commands?)

    2. Will a summoner archetype conjure up allies to fight for them or will they have to catch wild creatures in the world of Vera and tame them to become an ally (i.e. by bonking them until the monster is at low health before being able to capture it?)

    3. Will summons have a level and stats of their own and a variety of rarities within and across each species of creatures and will they be able to evolve once they meet a certain level requirement?

    4. Will other special hidden requirements augment the path of the evolution of the creature?

    5. Will you be able to obtain an aerial summon and mount it?

    6. Will there be certain skills generated after meeting a certain requirement (i.e. after capturing a # of the same creature you obtain a skill that lets you inspect that creature's stats without having to capture it?)

    7. Will summons have a loyalty/favorability bar?

    Steven you have said multiple times you know ur audience and who ur going after with this Game, Why does it feel like your trying to please two sides of the mmo community with Tab target and action combat style? Wise words were once said.. never half ass 2 things at once. WHOLE ASS 1 thing! :P
    P.s - anyway we can convince you to just go tab target?
    p.p.s - No one wants to play a Fps mmo.
  • When will we get any updates on Tulnar? Even if it is just updated rough drafts, it would be nice to know they are still being worked on.
  • For dyes/tints, will we only be able to customize certain parts of items, such as the metal and/or cloth, or will we be able to alter the colors of spell effects on the items as well. For example, on the recent cosmetics for the Dying Light, could we make the yellow flames on them blue or red?
  • Will wealthy players be able to list a very high number of market buy and sell orders to cover hundreds of item types in several different locations?
  • How will you ensure that buying monster coins won't ever have P2W advantages? For example, as I understand them, monster coins could be used by crafters/processors to target and disable specific buildings used by their competitors.
  • With the recent alleged news of some Kickstarter and smaller studio MMOs being shut down or revealed as scams and with certain large studio MMOs being turning out to be less than successful. How is this motivated you and the team to make Ashes of Creation stand out and be the game that prevails?
  • Could we get a new augment example? I'm sure most of them have been designed at least on paper. Elemental changes and the blinking tank is cool and all, but mb smth for a cleric or the mage would be nice too.
  • When studio tour ?
  • Will Intrepid allow AoC to be played on GeForce Now? To include the alpha 2 if possible.

    are you guys ok with hiring the exploiters and such from New World to test ur own systems for dupe bugs? lol..

    What is the vegetation density going to be like in AoC?
  • Will the Falconer class be able to directly control birds to be able to do unique tasks like long distance scouting/exploration or spying (similar to Assassin's Creed Origins and Valhalla), and will Falconers be able to choose different types of birds such as raptors, owls, corvids, etc? If different birds are available, will the species used change the gameplay utility, or be purely a cosmetic difference?

    -Avian Tulnar (topic video)
    -Dwarf-to-tallest race heights for Tulnar
    -Crows/ravens for Falconers
    -AC:O & AC:V type aerial scouting for Falconer

    with the announcement of a potential full combat revamp, can we please just skip action combat and make a excelent "tab enchanced +++" game that has some "actionie" feel instead?
    we are at this stake 2 years behind and now u want to redo everything u had planned to do, meaning alot of redoing of stuff?
  • Will Ashes of Creation feature any marijuana?
