Greetings Friends and Frenemies: I suggest that perhaps the launch can be scaled down. Lake Tahoe can compete with Las Vegas. It might be a revolutionary move - particularly during Christmas and skiing season. State Line. https://tahoechamber.org/

    It's harder to buy hookers and blow at Lake Tahoe despite the name. That's just facts. Also there are considerably less magic shows which is a downer.

    Joking aside it'd probably save money to do it elsewhere but part of a launch party practically requires nightlife. Stuff to do during the day is good, but stuff to do day and night is even better. Doing so in Cali would be possible but about as expensive and Steven already lives there. Seattle wouldn't really fit the vibe. So that leaves your West Coast options to Denver, Phoenix, and Vegas. Vegas is an easy pick for game releases for a reason. The economy is much more used to events related to them and has variant enough night life to make most groups happy on the west coast.

    I was in PR for 6 weeks doing disaster relief. That place is a wreck, and already was before hurricane Maria. Very warm people but the government is a corrupt joke, like some African warlord shenanigans.

    Anything outside of the 'resort' areas are bad news, and we were warned not to be out during night. At some of the relief barracks the gates were obviously locked but there were also heavy sliding doors on the building for security, and they were sealed at night.

    Beautiful island and warm people poorly governed by ineptitude and corruption. Old story that, eh?

    Haha I grew up there too. If AOC launches around winter and we get the amount of snow we got this year, I don't know if this would be the best idea :p

    Mount Fuji is lovely! Especially Aokigahara, such a wonderful place for a get-together on the north slopes of the mountain.

    It has a wonderful history.

    While beautiful, the area around Fuji is boring af. No casinos (beyond the illegal) in Japan, and the hookers don't service non-Japanese. (anyone telling you they got into one of the red light districts soaplands is lying to you unless they are Japanese). The launch party will be in Vegas, because they sold Vegas. It would be a bait and switch for them to do otherwise. "Pay us and we will provide tickets and accom to exciting, wonderful Vegas. Ooops, due to it being a cheaper option, welcome to wonderful Akron, Ohio's Motel 6 conference room. Complimentary morning juice and muffin bar closes at 9:00 sharp!"
