Please give us a place to poll

If we had a place to do polls on the forums it could give the staff new insights while also letting the players engage in a meaningful way. This could also help gauge expectations for certain things for example I am wonder how many people plan on playing each class and seeing which is most popular and ehich is least popular. Even though there is still much to be revealed about each class these kinds of things could be interesting to see where people are at right now and then do another poll later and see if there has been a change in peoples opinion. Thats just one example.
Anyway, thank you for letting me participate in the forums I appreciate the dev team here even if they like cosmetic pets.

Also if you ask people which class they will play you get 500 comments and no one wants to read all that. A poll would give you the straight numbers with out having to read 500 messages and explanations.

if you're interested in making a poll i would probably recommend strawpoll.
Aren't we all sinners?

Well, I mean, that one seems fair...
This is very true but there are definitely some guidelines one can follow to reduce that, and obviously there are some people who have the skill set due to happenstance/work.
We know IS has something for polling, although I am not sure if they have one that let's you vote anonymously (which is really a must.) I don't actually know what stopped them from making that a tool on the site. That demo was awhile ago now.
We have no real information at all on any subclass. As such, a poll about which class people are playing right now would only be a poll about which name of a class in Ashes they think will be the closest to the class they want to play.
As such, the comments in relation to this question will have some worthwhile information, but the poll itself will not.
Also all the meta chasers out there just wont comment as they dont know what class they will be. You'll just get more fanciful players and such, romanticising what flavors they like.
As far as the poll being biased towards the pollsters views, if you want honest feed back you'll include all possible answers otherwise people can just ignore it and the engagement of the poll will be low.
Any I thought this duscussion was dead lol.
Well, you gave an example of why we may want polls - I simply pointed out why the example you gave is not a reason to have them.
Not only is the general public not overly proficient at creating a poll, they are also not overly good at understanding that polls aren't all that relevant.
If Intrepid enabled us to start polls on these forums, a lot of people would hold a poll on a topic and expect Intrepid to be bound by the results - and be actually angry if they didnt.
Imagine doing a strawpoll and linking it in your first post when you make a thread?
Links leading to a third party website are bad for click through rate and survey engagement. Granted I couldn't care less if we had the feature or not, but it isn't like it is a huge ask.
