The Gilded House is synonymous with House Kimura, a Vaelune noble family known for their wealth, and having their fingers in many different "ventures". Over centuries, this minor noble house built itself up by being savvy merchants, diplomats, and politicians to greater houses, forming lasting bonds and unions that consecrated their bloodline. But what made them truly influential wasn’t their nobility, but the many ventures they invested in. Be it trade, taverns, or exploration, their successful ventures built them into a Gilded House.
While current generations have squandered the name, the house and its ventures seek anew. In a new world destined for opportunity & strife, the Gilded House stands together, unified as one.
SYNOPSIS
Our guild has an Active and ongoing guild story set in Sanctus, pre-Verra. We have Monthly community meetings, Regular roleplay events, and engaged membership who enjoy gaming together. If you're a gamer, you will enjoy the comradery of our voice and gaming channels. If you're a roleplayer, you will find no other roleplay community that is as active and engaged in storytelling.
We want the world around us to have weight, and that means building more than one node or freehold. We want to build a society that has structure, ideals, and offers more than a blank canvas.
WHO WE ARE
Gilded House Roleplay is a 18+ RPPVP storytelling community. We value immersive storytelling, society building, and positive community collaboration.
As a storytelling community, roleplay is very important to us. It is because of this we have catered our community to a variety of different characters. New and veteran role-players alike can find a home here, with each of our three pillars offering different paths & depths of story. Our guild is based around inclusivity, meaning whether you’re an elf, orc, dwarf, and even Tulnar you can find a home with us.
WHAT WE OFFER
An Active & Engaged Story: Our community has regular roleplay events, with a dnd style setup. We have almost 2 dozen ongoing story threads, and a cast of characters that are eager to engage with others. Our story is not centered around any one person, allowing for every character to be in the spotlight.
Gaming Veterans: Our leadership is made up of junior and senior leaders with a lifetime of gaming and community management experience. From SWG, ArcheAge, BDO, and SWTOR to name a few.
Community First: We have a quality over quantity standard, and look to bring in those who want to engage with others, and share positive vibes. We do regular roll-calls, host monthly community meetings, and always have folks in our voice channels gaming, shooting the shi-t, or talking story. AOC is a community driven game, and that is the energy we’re bringing!

Active Gamers / Roleplayers: We understand Ashes isn’t coming out tomorrow, (*cries) but that doesn’t mean we can’t game together, or get into roleplay. We are looking for folks who want to jump into the fray and get to know our community.

That’s a question everyone should ask as they look to become a part of any guild or company. For GH-RP, community means a group of people who work together towards a common goal. Though they may have different backgrounds or interests, they embrace a similar culture and thrive as one. We are not cultists, or looking to blow up one person’s ego. We enjoy comradery, and the free expression of ideas.

House Kimura Sigil: The Leviathan
HOUSE KIMURA | NOBILITY & POLITICS
Through their ancestry, House Kimura can be traced back to Old Verra, serving as a merchant house in the Aelan empire. After the fall, House Kimura re-settled in Sanctus.
The once small merchant house evolved on Sanctus, into a prosperous gilded house and over the centuries that passed, made additional investments. Forging alliances with other families and consecrating their bloodline. While there were some questionable unions, House Kimura has remained a largely Vaelune household.
While much of their history on Sanctus tells the story of a rising noble house, In the past generation, House Kimura has suffered a fair amount of tragedy. The family matriarch was taken by a foreign illness in a single fortnight, leaving his lordship ever distraught. Additionally, A great union between House Kimura and their rival fell apart after the death of Sergio Kimura. The family’s only son and heir. The faltering union threatened to tear apart more than just one partnership but sought to undermine the many interests of House Kimura.
Sersei Kimura, the only living child, and daughter of his lordship has found herself unexpectedly in a place of leadership, having to take the reins of her faltering household. Her father, left in a withering state, has given her instruction to travel to Verra. Taking the remaining household and its vassal states to settle anew and bring new fortune to this once gilded house.
Gilded Ventures Sigil: The Raven
GILDED VENTURES | EXPLORATION & DISCOVERY
Gilded Ventures is an adventuring company that was formed around the same time as Phoenix Antiquities. Originally, Gilded Ventures was a competitor of Phoenix Antiquities. founded under a different name, and by a rival of House Kimura.
But in Sanctus things shifted against the rival house, forcing them to offload the company for their own survival. House Kimura, through building strategic alliances, came to acquire the company. Rebranding it ‘Gilded Ventures’ as a knock against their former rivals.
The company. unlike Phoenix Antiquities. deals mostly in exploration. Members of this group are well traveled adventurers, who take pride in venturing into the depths of any dungeon. They collect not just loot and rare artifacts, but information about the world and its histories.
In the present, Gilded Ventures is a successful adventuring company that looks to venture into the world of Verra, alongside their allies and partners.
Phoenix Antiquities Sigil: The Phoenix
PHOENIX ANTIQUITIES | GOLD & GLORY
Founded by House Kimura, Phoenix Antiquities started as a small trade house, buying and selling goods for a modest profit. Nothing too entrepreneurial, but a small gamble in the hopes of achieving some gains.
Over generations, as House Kimura grew, so did their trading empire. In fact, one could go as far to suggest that their fates were intertwined. If a new business partnership was made, it was likely sealed through blood. A traditional, yet effective way to ensure lasting, and loyal partnerships.
But even the most loyal partnerships can falter. A great loss by House Kimura, brought Phoenix Antiquities to near demise. The trading house lost vital partnerships that resulted in more losses than one could expect, making the path forward a struggle.
In the present, House Kimura has signaled an intent to re-settle Verra. Phoenix Antiquities, as a loyal vassal to their liege will follow, seeking to settle their losses and hopefully make new gains.
Obsidian Order Sigil: The Wolf
THE OBSIDIAN ORDER | BLOOD & STEEL
The Obsidian Order is a recent addition to House Kimura. The Order was originally a mercenary guard, bought and paid for by House Kimura, to expand their house guard.
They would serve the household for a generation, before they were officially brought in under the banner of House Kimura. The lord Kimura himself, took them under his wing and reformed the guard, placing a loyal commander at its head.
The order is based on a creed of Blood & Steel. Though their commanders change, the creed stays the same. The order are first and foremost protectors. They do not seek out war, but will respond at the call, and protect those in need.
In the present, the order is undergoing a transition. A new commander has been named, and the order is making preparations to lead the envoy into Verra.

As RP is a focus of the community I can tell you the backstory, development and creation of our group will fit well with the world of which Ashes has created. I say this because it'll be adaptable to the lore we discover and learn with the rest of the players flooding into the game. Lastly - We believe a healthy RP Community is a strong community for all. Working with other Guilds and such is on our mind as Roleplayers will be the ones responsible for making that type of gameplay accessible.
We've enjoyed the holidays with our friends and families but we're excited to showcase some big updates for our community!

Thank you! We have very talented members who designed the website. We plan to add a lot more to it, as we get closer to Alpha 2 and launch, so that it can be a resource for others.
Our community is working on some exciting roleplay projects, which we hope to share with the larger roleplay community in the future.
In addition to our monthly guild meetings, we have brought on a story officer who will coordinate our guild storylines, and assist new members in integrating their characters into the guild.

We just had our monthly community meeting, where we talked about the latest mage livestream. Loving the direction, spells, and overall style of the mage.
In addition, we have a community poll and discussion on character races, and which are most favored in our community at present. Right now we have Py'rai and Vaelune topping the lot, followed by Empyrean & Kaelar. We also have a couple Dwarves, Orcs, and Tulnar!

Time for another Velociraptor breakdown of the Gilded House's guild updates! I'm excited to bring to you the latest in Gilded News, Gilded Role-play, and all things gold about our community! Strap in for this week's adventure!
First, I'm pleased to note that we continue to have over a dozen Role-play threads running, with two new threads starting since our last update. We're preparing for our Dice System test event to create a truly unique and personalized rolling system for our community. Simple, easy to use, but diverse enough so that every character is unique with unlimited potential to make their character special.
Since our last tales from our Guild Discord, we've had a large number of our members get involved in our Conan Exiles official server. This usually involves a lot of building, a lot of exploring, and a fare number of poor NPCs being dragged off to people's bases as support staff. We have several very experience people in the guild helping new players engage in the world of Conan.
I'm more than a little excited to announce Zason has stepped up into the role of our PVP Lead for the guild! He'd doing exciting things as he gets Gilded House prepared for the adventure of a lifetime in Ashes of Creation! With a great background in PVP and Storytelling, we're happy to have him helping drive Gilded House into the PVP world we'll soon be entering.
Sersei and I were part of The Golden Feather's Podcast about Ashes of Creation this week!
