To many people, thisnwould depend on what an Inn room does in terms of gameplay.
If all it does is give you a space to decorate and allow for citizenship, it may be of interest to people that want to be citizens.
A room at an Inn is unlikely to be of interest to someone that wants a freehold to run a tavern, however.
Yes, but you can transfer resources to alts at an Inn...
I'd advise Intrepid to ignore feedback like this instead, when the counter argument to peoples argument results in childish name-calling then it's quite clear the other side isn't coherent enough to actually construct a sound and reasonable argument. The side that's expressed their opinion on the bidding system and it's flaws regarding the freehold has been constructive and logical, the side that's expressed their opinion on wanting the bidding system have been nothing but trolls and spiteful comments to try and flame people. The fact that any of you still have access to the forums given how toxic your behavior is really speaks volume on the moderators.
Your comment is a pretty bad take if you don't understand his concern or the history of new world. Its funny that you say one side is all trolling when that is clearly not true if you read the comments.
Fear of bidding just comes down to competition and fear you will be out classed. You have plenty of options to try to get a freehold, teamwork, work in a guild and be important to it, skill in knowing the market, save your money and bid on ones not as popular.
The idea you want to reject any option that involves competitive edges when you are talking about the highest level of housing honestly is just silly and gives me vibes you want it handed to you. As well you don't even know how the bidding will work, there is 0 issues with in terms of bidding and plenty ways they can tackle it to be fair and competitive.
Trying to say a whole side are trolls is questionable in your level of feedback with that as your argument.
This may be a reason to get an Inn, true.
Ask Bill if the issues with New World were a result of player feedback, or a result of having to rush the release due to Amazon management telling them to release when the developers said the game wasnt ready.
Amazon wanted New World to be the cornerstone of their game offerings. It needed to be released, testing and balancing be damned.
How many hours did you put in new world?
thousands of resources to upgrade it poofed on a loss
How many developers for New World do you send christmas cards to?
When it comes to the development of a game, playing it doesn't tell you much.
Talking to people that made it, however, does.
That's called a gold, resource and time sink. Would you call multiple sets of armour a risk?
I know quite a lot about new worlds history since I started playing new world back in its closed alpha days when guilds had to build their own strongholds. So, his concerns are illogical because he’s trying to compare two different systems entirely. The freehold discussion has nothing to do with pvp, at all.
I’m also not rejecting any option on competitiveness either, a bidding system simply isn’t competitive enough. It’s quite a dull system to be honest, I’d rather freeholds tie into some form of pvp instead. If I wanted to bid for houses I’d play FFXIV.
Also claiming that I don’t know how bidding works is a very weak counter argument because there already exists bidding systems in mmos that I play already, Albion has a bidding system. Just because Ashes will lock bidding behind a quest is irrelevant.
I’m also not wrong about the trolls either, imagine writing that out and thinking you could possibly be right, how embarrassing. Perhaps invest in some self-awareness.
I mean, if I was talking about anything to do with gameplay, this would potentially be a valid criticism.
Shouldn't you be criticizing the guy that came at someone that was talking about the development of a game with "and how long did you spend playing that game you are talking about the development of?"
Oh wait, that doesn't serve your purpose, of course you won't do the logical thing.
You can criticize design without having played a game. An engineer doesn't need to get onto a bridge to know if it's safe or not.
I'd like to share this clip with you guys from yesterday's interview

"MMOs are NOT built for Solo Players"
- Steven Sharif
There are a few people that are talking about actual solo players, but for the most part it is just people not in large guilds.
Edit to add; if you had have been paying attention to the larger discussion, you would know this.
