Glorious Alpha Two Testers!

Alpha Two Realms are now unlocked for Phase II testing!

For our initial launch, testing will begin on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 10 AM Pacific and continue uninterrupted until Monday, January 6, 2025, at 10 AM Pacific. After January 6th, we’ll transition to a schedule of five-day-per-week access for the remainder of Phase II.

You can download the game launcher here and we encourage you to join us on our for the most up to date testing news.

What will your characters build be?

I am aware how early it is, but we can speculate a little. I am curious what sort of character builds everyone is thinking about doing. Let hear the class fantasies you have. We don't know much about religion or social groups, but feel free to speculate. Mostly, I'm curious how the general consensus and most desired builds. I wish we could do polls.

As my main, I want to create an Kaelar Archwizard (Mage/Mage). I plan to put the maximum possible amount of my skills into the hardest hitting abilities, and the rest can go into defensives, escapes, and methods to create distance. Hopefully I can make the lightning strike a sort of fire lightning strike with augments and create a glass cannon. I hope to stay on the edges of the battle sniping lightning bolts like Merlin up on a hill. WTB pet owl.

Second, a Kaelar Predator (Rogue/Ranger) sounds awesome. Rogue is a favorite class of mine, and combining stealth with some ranger flare will be a scary wilderness PvP build. I plan to get some cosmetics to camouflage in with the Riverlands and basically be Naked Snake from Metal Gear Solid 3. He will definitely be in the Thieves guild.

Lastly, a huge and terrifying Tulnar Necromancer (Summoner/Cleric) would be pretty cool. He will look as close to evil/dead as possible with creepy black robes. Imagine an army of the dead by combining a party of other Necro's. I will need a pet snake.

Lets hear what else everyone is hoping to do.

You will be unkillable. We'll see about the TOS on dual boxing tho. I want to do it for two Necro's and run around as an army of skelly's.

Hopefully an Empyrean Shadow Disciple, a blitz of dagger blades leaving the death and poison marks on all things that defy my deity, cursing them and dragging their life away to heal my allies, an uncatchable, barely-targetable, death by a thousand cuts.

Bonus for dragonic deity and 'control' augments that confer even greater protection on others by weakening their enemies as I stack venom up to proc deadly payoffs, forcing the enemy to choose between wasting their energy trying to finish me off, and 'assuring their death' without ever being sure that my party will actually even die if they target them.

Because sometimes you just need to stab people. A lot.

I forget that we can switch our secondary class around. I guess a Wildblade will be one of the more mlee DPS oriented Summoners. Tulnar summoner is definitely the way to go! There is nothing better to strike fear into the hearts of those who did not evolve on the harsh lands of Verra!

Not gonna lie, that was kind of messed up. I need to shower after reading that.

Sorcerer: Choose to use his power to direct the group, buff his allies, mesmerize or charm any potential adds, and execute an enemy before it is able to run away and bring friends.

Enchanter: Same concept as sorcerer except with summons for damage and buffs instead of nukes and buffs.

Warden: Warrior tank that can use nearly any melee weapon and shield. Uses bows for extra damage, threat generation, and pulling at level 25.

I want to explore as a ranger tamer. Dredge the wilds for the best beasts, map the areas and scout other lands for Allie’s or enemies.
    kzlop9coy4kh.png
  • Fighter/Cleric: Heavy armor, heavy swings, a great hammer most likely as a weapon
Big hits, some healing, utility and great durability
Cleric/Rogue: Heavy armor, dots, and heals.
Sturdy attrition focused cleric (bleeds, healing over time, poison, dark arts)
    Tank/Rogue: Heavy armor, dots, tough
Sturdy dot focused tank (bleeds, poison, dark arts)
  • KilionKilion Member, Alpha Two
    • a Kaelar Baldedancer as a mercenary
    • an Empyrian Scout as an explorer and beast tamer
    • And maybe Shaman or an Apostle
The answer is probably >>> HERE <<<

Just to amass a ton of dead monster summons!

That sounds like a sick playthrough. I suspect you'll be raising the dragon eggs that they talked about. Raid boss drops laying eggs for animal husbandry people to ride.

You sound like the type of guy you want to have around. I wonder what the Enchanter pets will be like. I imagine a band of musical notes soothing things to sleep and buffing allies with death metal notes.

I am a utilitarian, so Summoner makes sense.

Maybe a Tulnar depending on the customization options, if not then probably a Ren'Kai.

Maybe a summoner depending on how they play, but most likely a tank primary. And I'm thinking a cleric secondary with death augments and going for a maximum lifesteal sustain style of tank.

I may be playing as the pirate: Gulag the Wise. A plate armor wearing Cleric/Tank (Apostle) of the Vek guild that controls trade along the Tradewind sea. Target my allies, and I restore them; target me, and despair as your pitiful blows glance off my armor. It's a lose-lose really, just give up your loot and abandon ship.

Guardian (Tank/Tank) Shield & Spear *if that's an option.
Mastery in Processing (Lumber Milling and/or Metalworking)
Will be keen to see what Tank/Cleric or Tank/Mage looks like.

In Honor to my "as-egdy-as-possible" looking Avatar -> i too plan to make a Necromancer. (lol)

While i am not going to play a Tulnar right away,
i want to go with a more Northern looking Human.

My Style, what my Character is supposed to wear, is supposed to look as celtic and/or northern as ingame possible : maybe mixed or alternated with something practical.

We all know this, do we ? Possibilities of "Transmogs" will be a huge thing. If Ashes can have such a System, similar or same as it was implemented into WoW later -> that would be great.

You can be our Necro leader and we'll roll deep. I hope that we get transmogs, dyes, AND skins. I just hope they keep the fantasy low and cool. I hate seeing everyone glowing like they're Zeus or something. I like to keep it believable like Lord of the Rings style outfits. It looks like that's what they're aiming for! Maturity at last.

Ha~rd to say. Something that can camouflage would be nice.
Stealthgameplay and maybe the ability to enter a place crawling with highlevel mobs, way earlier than normal due to them being unable to see me.
Or maybe something that can climb walls and stuff and has manueverability other classes do not.
This has always been cool for me.

Simply being able to enter & explore area's which are offlimits to most players or normally only accessable by a party, but doing it solo, is something I have always felt to be very cool and satisfying.
Grouping up will be cool too of course.
    But I need all options.

Complete Stealth is said to be impossible / non-existent.

However, apparently there will be a few Stealth-Options, that maybe make a Player like +50% +60% less easy to spot. At least this is how it sounded like.

I personally hope for stealthy Clothing. Maybe they will even make the Player semitransparent or so.

During night, when also rains, seeing translucent players could be hard.

Well, Night-time - under the "Cover of Darkness" - that is the Time when a Rogue shines, right ?

Be it in Reallife, or in Fantasy - usually sneaky People aim for all things possible that helps them avoiding being seen, identified, caught. Etc.

Would be AWESOME if Rogue's would have a Skill that lets them be less visible and harder to see, during Nighttime.

The darkness we seen last stream was at limit, without rain.
Add rain, the rogue partial invisibility and have 8 of them, all in black outfits and there will be enough confusion.
