Getting some "hands on" with the base classes, getting a feel for basic gameplay loops (combat, quests, gathering/crafting, etc) and getting used to the UI is going to take a while. Also providing feedback for those things.
I'm looking forward to seeing how different worlds end up building themselves. Hopefully there's more than one server and more than one viable starting point in each one. That might be too much to ask from the start of A2
For me it's all about trying every sub classes of the Bard. My wife is almost 100% sure she wants to play the Cleric. I just want to see every way I can synergize with her play style. That's all I want to take out of A2. Anything else is just a bonus.
