Launcher problem

I was able to run the launcher and play the game a little last weekend, unable to run the launcher this week. I can download the launcher, but when I run it it never sets up as an app. I can watch it start up in the process, for a few seconds it does things, but it stops. When I try to run the launcher again, it says it is already running but is unable to switch to it. I have tried this multiple times with uninstalling, etc, but always the same thing happens.
