Make streamer specific servers. And if streamers still happen to play on non-streamer servers, just don't protect them with TOS for griefing on those servers so they are able to be deterred by the populace if they do not wish for them to be there. Seems simple enough.

Many people don’t want to play on servers with streamers. The whole Asmongold incident is a great example of why. I think there should be some servers that ban streamers so that players who don’t like the negatives that streamers can bring to the game don’t have to deal with them. I think this is the best way to make everyone happy.

So then don't play on the ones they choose?

Edit: These posts also never take into account the actual size of the completed world. The drama that's happening with the alpha will not be happening at the scale it is when the game is launched.

The alpha map size is what.. 1/5th of the whole map size?

If you think streamers are going to have the same influence in a world that big with travel times as they (rightfully) are, you are overreacting

Can you show me where Intrepid said they wouldn't be doing that already?

So if i start streaming do i get a free transfer to the streamer server or do they force charge my account? Do i get to keep all the materials I farmed when i get transferred?

I think "streamers" are the bane of online gaming. They dont bring anything of use to the game.

Better with streamers than with bots

Maybe just put some kind of limit on the creator program, such as if you are part of the creator program you're limited to some server. It wouldn't limit someone who's looking to stream casually on another server, but it would also make it an incentive for casual streamer to join those content creator server.

Since co-streaming is likely to be popular and having a public stream feud is more likely to attract viewer then having a public vs private feud, then the creator experience, as well as the community experience, will be enhance by this condition.

The content creator program server are also likely to grow faster, because of leadership, and therefor to be more competitive. Which is also going to be an incentive for some hardcore guild who are looking forward to that kind of environment increasing the overall balance if they play their card right.

i also dislike the streamers being so influential but devils advocate here:

Seems kind of silly, do you ban anyone with a twitch account?

how many viewers does a streamer need before they are a ''streamer''

    what about youtube content creators?

what happens if your guild decides to make some youtube content? should your GM be banned?

Why are you punishing people that have a bigger friends list than you?

What if a streamer plays ashes off-stream and never streams but they gain a following anyway?

There is so much to unpack when you try to "remove streamers"

Lets say we do remove streamers, now instead of the streamers being your problem, the largest guild is the problem. Are you the largest guild? are you just trying to benefit yourself by removing big streamer guilds?

If you arent the largest guild, you have the same problems except now its "please make a server for zerg guilds" instead of "streamer guilds"

I dont think the anti streamer crowd really understand that removing the streamers is neither a simple or effective solution. and the real problem is youre upset you arent playing with a large group of players.
