Wouldn`t it be fun to make like a honorary Title for the person collecting the most note reputation ?
like "Patron of >cityname<" ..
it could be a weekly thing or so and might be a fun pasttime for the players.. not to mention it would drive city-involvement a little ^^
might even be a thing the mayer could buy as an option for the city or so ..
