Shiroe please. Kappa
Anyways, what do you think/want the scribe to be able to do? I can only think of creating maps, and I'm not sure how that would work.
[quote quote=7985]I’d definitely love to see secondary professions. Stuff to create blingblings, you know?
Like costumes and stuff.

I agree owo
My professions would likely be - cooking and carpentry. Hopefully if we have housing in this game, the carpentry would go to making items for my home.
Cooking - Well, I love to cook, that has carried over in every mmo I have played. It relaxes me..
Keep up the good fight here Dev's.. looking wonderful!!
I'm so excited to the point when we get more information about how the proffesions work, and to see what the options are with every proffession, cant wait!

Not to undermine your point, I really like it. But quite a few of us old timers choose non fighting roles specifically for its simplicity. Some crafters won't have the reflexes to do a mini game per item, would you like to do a mini game between each basic attack? Or spell?
Would become excessively tedious, very quick.
My wrists hurt just thinking about it.
i always had fun with the weapon and armor crafting profs in SWG. hopefully there is some sort of benefit to rarer/ better quality types of materials that would apply to the finished product.
I would want a "sculpting" profession, i would envision this as creating statues from different materials, and being able to enchant the statues with different traits.
Since it seems we will be able to buy property, for farming or raising of animals and that at certain times this property could be attacked by players, I would like to be able to create statues that were visually appealing, and showcased the lore of individual places but also be able to enchant a statue to come to the defense of a certain area when under attack.
Example: You raise horses on a farm, you place the statue in the field with grazing horses, 95% of the time it stands still, and is purely decorative when a player attacks your farm and enters the field the statue comes to life and attacks the player.
Or
Example: I create a Snake out of stone that wraps around a pillar in an alchemist shop, the alchemist can put poison into the fangs of the snake and if a player steals from the shop the snake unwinds from the pillar and attacks the player poisoning them if they get bit.
The higher the sculpting/enchanting level of the individual creating the piece the higher level statue you get, and dependent on the materials used and what image the statue depicts; gives its strengths and weakness. This would give people who choose a peaceful play style the peace of mind knowing that they don't have to pay guards to guard their property, or if a node falls when they can't make it to game to defend then they have some sort of defense.
Just some idea's let me know what you think
I don't like crafting systems that require you to mass produce junk items / vendor trash just to progress (except maybe at the apprentice level. From journeyman on, almost everything you make should have value.
Apprentice / Journeyman / Artisan / Master / Grand Master with each level exponentially more difficult and time consuming to attain but again, from Journeyman on the items you craft should have value. Hitting Master and then Grand Master should really mean something and allow you to either craft best in slot or something that adds the highest enhancements.
