I just noticed the launcher has a rate limiter

It's under settings-->patching.
This might be helpful for some others who either don't have the best Internet or who need to share it with a busy household.
Also be aware that it's kiloBytes (KB) not kilobits (Kb) so it's 8 times bigger than you might think if you are using Mbps versus MBps to measure your bandwidth.
1000 KB = 8 Mb (1 MB)
