    The mechanic works fine and all the stuff about adding faster regen or faster this just takes away from the experience of the game. Some may not like the current settings and maybe they will change who knows but if you want it like other games no need to play this one. I don't like a lot of more modern mmo's and don't play them I am enjoying this one a lot so far because of the things steven has said about their design philosophies and it not being a game for everyone. I don't want a bland cookie cutter game of the other modern mmo's I want a more interesting challenge where you have to think about what you are doing and not soloing virtually everything in sight without ever running low on mana or health. I want even harder mobs and even slower leveling, I know I am in the minority there but this is feeling better then things like eso etc.

    I'm up to level 16 as a Bard now. I haven't had to use a single ration or consumable at any point in time. I gave up on my level 8 Ranger but will try dps again after a wipe.

    I do think its fair to expect and ask for better balance between classes where some will need to constantly rest and others never will for solo play.

    Its ok though, Steven mentioned on stream today via Q&A that they have plans for various systems to provide for other avenues to level viably without endless mob grinding for various player types that will be introduced at a later date in development.

    Not sure if it's going to be removed but I'd definitely like to see some changes to it. Playing a Ranger which is quite mana intensive, feels like you're sitting quite a bit when fighting higher level mobs. The dead time just sat there is just boring to be honest, rations really help with this but often you have to use multiple of them so again you're just sat doing nothing. I wanted to see how long the regen was out of combat, not sitting, so went to chop some trees, stopped looking at time because I gathered a full lumberjack bag of Oak and hadn't fully recovered haha

    I think either let rations regen faster or make it a buff that works out of combat so you can move and do other things while regenerating and not just sitting there.

    I did some solo on both Cleric and Ranger. Cleric has less downtime, but it certainly felt slower. It takes twice as long to kill anything.

    2 copper for rations is expensive? It's usually 20-30s to fully regen, which you only need to do every handful of mobs, and that's assuming no other means of mana regen. Feels like vanilla WoW, very reasonable IMO.
