wood quality vs other resource

the wood quality is too much low respect the other resource, if I gather 250 wood I find only 20/30 green the other color is too much rare.

    I confirm, it seems they broke changed it in the latest patch
    It used to be much better (more stable)

    Seems like wood quality is based on how long the tree been up for i go to an area that never gets harvested and get alot of coloured wood however near town is basicly all white with a bit of green.

    like i went to the middle of nowhere and logged and got 50 whites 15 heroics, 10 purple, 5 legendary, 60 rares and 45 greens

    People need to stop harvesting adolenscent trees though and let em grow haha :p

    I will try but normaly if I must take quantity to craft I cut always adult that give 5 tree and not 2

    cut adult tree far from them, any moster...empty area.... tree 300 years old....if I gather the same quantity of miner resource I get more rarity item.

    Tools, Bags and logging armor can all increase rarity drop too especialy higher quality ones

    The drop rate of the quality of wood t1 is too low... I have apprendice blue axe, apprendice cloth and pants and I take the same rarity,, very low blue, a bit more green....heroic , epic e leggendary 0. THe t2 wood instead the rarity is good.

    Test this Guys...
    If you are looking for Eastern Hemlock or Western Larch move to Lionhold und Farm every one of them you find as a single tree. don´t look for patches. it is the single ones in the world and i got my legos out of samias hope and around lionhold and steelbloom.

    This might be the wrong approach however I started to just throw everything green, Blue and co and continue farming, for now I don't see a benefit for the different Rarity levels in Low Level Materials.

    definetly apprentice tree give much better quality than the T1 wood im guessing t1 wood pretty hard to get coloured due to the abundance of them so they have lower rates, but with T2 wood it almost half of them are coloured if not more

    Upgrade your tools and it will upgrade your results. This is still an RNG. The sample size of your results is incredibly low to be fair. You only collected roughly what... 300 pieces of wood? That's nothing.

    I have lvl 35 mining and near lvl 30 lumberjack so I think I have enoght gathering experince to see the difference of drop quality from t2 and t1 resource.
    I have apprendice rare and heroic tools and I crafter also the second kind of apprendice tools not only the base. Maybe before write think that was only an example. The t2 resource has more high quality drop vs t1, the wood has more low drop respect the same t1 mining.

    for now I think the quality drop rate of the tools is not working. I didn't prove anything of your point.

    I think at least the Lumberjacking rarity perk is bugged. I chopped a full inventory of adult oak only for testing. This is the result. i think the better gear u get the worse is your luck.Could be a problem of T1, but i tried willows aswell(no picture). Since i upgraded my axe and bags i mostly get common.
    Ofc could be RNG, but if i compare my result with the picture above i would say don’t upgrade ur tools atm
    i got:
    1 legendary axe: 200 rarity rating
    1 legendary bag: 115 rarity
    1 epic bag: 82 rarity
    Apprentice common shirt and pants

    I have all rare quality for bag and axe and we have near the same resoult and you have almost all legendary, this mean there is a problem with the quality of the tools

    I like to keep one bag for other stuff. I noticed aswell that adult trees are more likely to drop colors.
    My point is since i upgraded everything im getting less colors. Doesnt matter if Oak/Larch/hemlock or even willow.
    I was expecting a bit more from upgrading my gear. 600+ common for just 6 rare, and 5 heroic seems a bit off. Other members i asked got better loot on less trees with less gear.
    It’s just some experience im getting atm. For the reset i would not upgrade any of the tools if it stays like this

    it weird cause i noticed the opposite 3 bags common armor legendary tool and i was getting considerably more high quality wood like im getting like 5-6 heroic+ every 10-20 adult T0 tree i hit. i do exclusivly only hit larch and weeping willows though so maybe those tree have better rates than oaks/ash/hemlock. Like half the wood i gather is coloured every time

    I chopped some more wood this weekend aswell. I had way better % and my inv looks ways more like your picture. I changed nothing at all. Guess they changed something…. Maby?

    I’m just happy it worked out. Fine for me ^^
