Not enough Willow / Braidwood

DracknarDracknar Member, Alpha Two
I really hesitated making the post as it seems so obvious, but just like Weeping WIllow was too rare before, now that Braidwoods can be cut down, it is still the same problem.
There just aren't enough Willow and braidwood spawns.

I know one day we'll likely have whole other biomes to travel to, and will find them in abundance. (well I sure hope that's the plan).. But for now, this particular scarcity of resource is just getting old.

We've got crafters progressing to Journeyman on T1 crafting due to not enough Weeping Willow still.
It's a massive bottleneck still.

Braidwood is the new rage, but so limited. We need more spawns.
(and randomised, to get away from people spawn camping the few willow / braidwoods we have).

Thanks for reading my rant.

4 hour respawn is kinda brutal
God node spawns kinda make it shit too u get like 1 god node and basicly and every other tree is useless since they only give white to blue quality which it easier to get the blue mob dropped instead gear wise :p lol

rarity bonus is not effective enough either in the current state will artisan skills tree fix this im not sure maybe it horrendous atm cause in the artisan skill tree might make getting beter quality easier but till then it gonna be rough

Geez, I'd settle for some common / uncommon drops at least even. I can count on one hand the number of willow or braidwoods I've cut down in the last three weeks.
    It's so frustrating.

All ive been doing is running around 10 hours a day looking for trees to get usable briar wood i think ive found 1 legendary tree 1 epic tree and like 6 heroic in 30 hours of gameplay kinda bad since u need heroic + to make thing better than mob drops -.- im running like 500 logging rarity bonus too and tbh that kinda feels like it does nothing atm it either u get a rare spawn tree and get good mats or you get a trash one and get white and green with the occasional blue (like 1-2% chance).

leather is the worst since it doesnt have rare spawns and wood not to far behind since tree at set to level 1 quality with the couple of rare spawns each rotation, Plants/rocks/gems/ores seems to spawn lvl 1-3 nodes (white to rare) which is much easier to proc rare nodes which are quite ubandant to heroic, epic and even legendary is terrible hard

That's because they need to change how gathering works, you aren't seeing very many high rarity ones because people have them on 4 hour timers and just go back to spawns before anyone else can randomly run into them to get mats again before the 24 hour reset.

First Problem: Respawn timers are too predictable so if you find a good tree, you are either going to return to it the precise moment it respawns, tell a friend to gather it at the time, or park and alt there and just continuously farm it until it resets daily.
Easy Fix: Randomize respawn time and locations.

Second Problem: The Willow/Braidwood sometimes will respawn in the same area rather than at the exact same spot. Frequently the respawn for willows will be in a rock or a cliff that you cannot interact with at all. This means that spawn will sit there until reset and not generate more.
Easy Fix: Fix the many bug reports for ungatherable spawns.

Third Problem: Willow is absolutely a gating resource. Which is fine but it's needed for far too many crafting recipes and also needed for many building upgrades in large quantities. Fixing the two problems above will help but unless you have access to freeholds, generating enough Willow for some of these building upgrades takes far too long compared to other required resources.
Easy Fix: Keep Wilow as a gating resource for crafting but reduce the amount needed in building upgrades so it's available for artisans.

Getting rares is difficult enough. All of these trees should have a viable location where they should spawn (just like hemlock and larch). This was a huge oversight by the devs, and the fact that this was even developed this way is mind boggling.

Rare node 100% need rework they either need 2 be done away with and make rarity bonus actualy do something do normal node can proc legendary at a reasonable rate if u stack rarity bonus or have the node change location and spawn every time they get harvested.
Personaly think nodes need to have much faster respawn time even if they reduce the amount of resources they give each time cause running around for an hour to find 1-2 tree is realy bad feeling

im kinda hoping the gathering skill tree will fix the crafting issues when it gets added but i think in the meantime it needs a little bit of help till that system in place
