Thank you for proving my point about how easily offended North Americans can be.
Your actual post makes no sense, I hope you understand that. It is the incoherent ramblings of an offended North American white female gamer.
Oh yeah the irony in that statement innit
lol
well at least you found the humour in it that I was going for
I aint american so cant relate, i assume you talking about yourself then. 🤣
And ofc not.... 😂 it would only make sense to you and your kind if i do agreed with you, right!?
Such a witty comback.
My point remains, game developers were called on by a small group of people to be moral arbitors, the result is what the result is. You haven't said anything to suggest you agree or disagree with this, so I don't know if you agree or not as yet.
To demonstrate how "nothing" your first post was, I'll go over that list that you made.
Your first point about not all games being made for a North American audience - most are, and the ones we are talking about all are. Other regions will play them, but they are designed primarily for a North American audience. As such, your point here makes no sense.
Your second point to refute my point about actions 5 - 10 years ago, where your only reply was to state that I am obviously (in your opinion) not female. Umm, ok. What exactly does it means if I am, but also what does it mean if I am not ? In both cases, nothing - your point here makes no sense.
Third was about Korea and the general notion there being each individuals notion of perfection is the goal of that individual. Your comment that maybe not everyone is "looking forward" for perfection makes no sense. This is because it was an obvious generalization about the population of South Korea in relation to the population of North America, and how the design aesthetics of games primarily aimed at each region differ based on the generalizations of each population.
Fourth, I state that North Americans are easily offended, and your witty comback was that I described myself there. I am in no way offended by any of this, and in fact I find the entire situation amusing - much as I am amused by having to reply to your post on the previous page.
The last point you made in your list where I said to not blame developers, your response was that it was my fault, which again, obviously makes no sense.
Your last point about if there is someone that should decide "what a female should look like" is the most absurd, because no one is talking about (or cares about) that. We are talking about what females in games look like, and the person/people that should decide what they look like are obviously the character artists (and artistic lead) working on the game in question - regardless of their gender.
Im sorry WHAT? 🤣 you are indeed a comedian arent you? (im quite certain most are all aiming to a global (international) market)
I mean by all means be my guest at just keep on giving me reason/confirmation 😂by all means
???? ^ ...so you started to compare both and now you trying to contradict yourself!?
Sure... me too 😂 btw
"...obviously makes no sense." Obviously ahaha 😆
What do you mean nobody cares about?? You guys clearly do.... what does that even mean? im sorry you all in here on a constant ramble nonstop crying HOW mainly females look or should look like (oh yes in game) and now you daring to say it is not the case? whaaaaa???? Im sorry but YOU try make sense
Sure, they will sell it to who ever wants to buy it, but in terms of game design or art direction, if there is a decision to be made to fit in to the sensibilities of NA, EA, SA, SEA, RU, JP, KR or Oceania, game developers outside of KR and RU will almost always so with appeasing the NA sensibilities. Sweetie, don't look to me for confirmation. I'm unsure how you think I have contradicted myself here.
As I said, we are not talking about how a female should look, we are talking about how a female should look in computer games. These are vastly different statements with vastly different scope, and so the distinction NEEDS to be made.
If your statement that "if there is someone who should be deciding 'what a female should look like', it is indeed a female!" was not intendedfocused general statement, but rather one focused specifically at "in computer games" and you just forgot to include any mention of said computer games, then all I can say is "that is ridiculous".
OOF so conclusion absolute delusion and entitlement...also dont call me sweetie we not that close at all...
Hmm...interesting inst it, looks like who is doing the generalizations it is indeed you, since you even trying to talk for the koreans themselves (and the on going comparison to North America 😆)...
"As I said, we are not talking about how a female should look, we are talking about how a female should look in computer games." - No shit Sherlock (pardon my french) and here i thought this was the entire point of the topic (well yours cuz it is actually not the main topic)...
Also let me borrow this one: Care to explain?
This one is too funny 😆which one? the one which they look exactly as they do now? is that what you missing!? i cant...
then you must be blind lol
see quite well tho...is it cuz the lack of make up and different hairstyle where the issue resides??
You call that hot? Better, you really think that the rest find this hot?
Cant even believe you did actually attempt to make your point valid by posting that
nice one 😂i could never find better in the year of 2025...
from what i have seen on the Alpha Two Test Servers from Phase 1 onward last Year -> Men and Women look pretty similar in Stature, Build, "Looks", etc.
A bit more Difference is desired.
Boys get the broader Shoulders and Muscles - Girls should get a few more Curves.
Now everyone thinking themselves smart might want to argue and say :
" NO !!! Ashes is not an Asia-MMO for Gooners and so on !!! " - and these People are way off the mark.
I sometimes hate to have to Mention Worst of Warcraft out of all MMO's,
but aside from it's Cartoony Style of how the World and the Charaters look,
You can CLEARLY distinguish between Men and Women in the Game. For some Races the Difference are even more obvious than for others - but WoW is not a "Gooner(lol) MMO".
Anyone remember the Ashes of Creation Clips from around 2018 or so, with the "Sorceress"(?) who ran around in that Orange/Red Outfit, which was admittedly a bit trimmed towards direction sexy ? lol
Back then, i think the Differences were clearly visible. Even if the Outfits played a role as well. It doesn't even have to be so over-the-top clearly and easily noticeable - but noticeable enough. Nothing would harm the Popularity for Characters more if Men and Women would look almost the same.
