To me, this sounds like node wars.

The objective seems to be the kind of thing a node war would have, and if you are talking smaller nodes, the scale is about the same as well.

Yes it would definitely be something usually resulting from players at war with each others nodes, but i'm not sure your point?

My point is that your suggestion is incredibly close to a system already stated to be in the game.

There would be no actual point in having both your suggestion (which in itself is perfectly fine) and node wars the way Steven has described them. Since they are both so similar, a game would need to have one or the other, not both.

Ok it seems like having the ability to target a nodes buildings outside of a sieges setting would be both more immersive and fun. Perhaps I am missing something here, what did Steven describe node wars as? I haven't heard much about them to be honest.

It hasn't made it to the wiki, but when talking about node war objectives, targeting specific buildings is one of the things Steven mentioned.

The reason it isn't on the wiki is because it wasn't stated as being what the actual plan is, as yet.

sounds kinda like Steven already thought of my original post idea then and will likely implement something similar to what he thinks fits the game. Thats great to hear!

Indeed, I wasn't saying your idea was in any way bad, just that it was close to what the node war system will be.
