Can Text be Enlarged?

Woof - was not able to find any option to make the dialogue text any larger - and it was *PAINFULLY* small!

Maybe our devs are working on only large monitors?

I just wanted to provide a little feedback,

I found the quests very hard to read, even after increasing the hud to 100%

I think by using sans-serif font, made a bit bolder and a bit bigger, would be a great place to start.

I know they’re still working on the interface, but that little tweak would be a huge improvement. I actually like reading quest and npc dialog!

The font in crafting windows is also very hard to read with the black borders on a serif font

I second this for the text overall ingame. I have very poor eyesight (and glasses accordingly, of course) and I am struggling really hard to read the text at some places in general.

I think that's the case with most all of the text in the game.
Not everything should use a serif font too imo. Especially if it's already small text.

Was looking for this option for the chat box as well, any idea if it's possible there? I had similar issues when I found that I didnt want the scale of the chat to be so large. Regardless, would be a nice feature across the board

I have been waiting months for you guys to figure out that the quest text is horrid to read. This is not a difficult fix and takes...what 25 minutes to go in and alter it to a readable form??

You do not have to rework the UI to just quickly go in and create a legible font for us people who use glasses.

    Thank you.

The UI scale slider helped me some

I did not find the UI Scaler. I am used to games that have a symbol in the corner of the box(Not rocket science), that allows for adjusting the box or even the text size. In this case I would even change the FONT type.

I feel like this is pretty basic UI stuff, which is why I do not understand why this basic system has not been implemented.

just curious for the people who are having issues with the text, what resolution are you playing on

Ya my eyes are not what they used to be, that being said, this game is attracting many old school gamers. This will be the case for many of eye because of age. That's before you take also into account of people just naturally have bad eye sight as well.

1080p max settings. 32 inch monitor. Have a monitor that's for gaming as well. Fonts are sharp but I'm turning into an old man lol but still a gamer :)

Ya I just stopped even trying to pick up a quest. Font is too small and you have 2-3 lines of text to say kill 5 mobs, or collect 5 items. Stop with the word salad and just give me what I need to do in a bullet form..

As an eldery man in his thirties, I would also love if the font and also icons in most of the dialogs, NPC names, mob names, inventory, menus, skills, etc. were bigger by default so I was able to read them without squinting and without having to change the UI.

Font type and font size definitely need to be customizable. At least with 2-3 different options each.

The font is terrible. Illegible typeface design, paired with little to no letter spacing. It's good on a 34" screen at 1440p and above. At 1080p or smaller screens, it's garbage.

1080p and wearing contacts so my vision is fine. It's just so much tinier than any other game. The UI slider only helps with the chat and quest boxes. The vast majority of the UI is still like size 7 font which is absurdly tiny and there are of course many UI windows that aren't editable in the UI slider. There needs to be a separate option in the settings for font size.

    BEWARE OF IT, THOUGH !!

It made all the other Windows so large for me, that i was stuck at the "STONEMASONRY"-Novice Craft-Station for about One to Two Hours.

The Window got so large for me that i couldn't find/see the "Start Job" Button anymore to make Stone into Stone-Blocks at the annoying Quest-Chain to get a Horse.

The Button was "BELOW" the lower Edge and Border of my Screen -> and i had to physically pull with the Mouse Button the Window up again - before i could finally proceed.

I noticed it only after putting for an annoying long time my boiling Anger down at being stuck for no Reason. This of Course only happened because i never had such a thing happen my whole Life - but "DAMN" the brainf~xxx i felt that Day. I was so angry i could have kicked a puppy. Only in my Imagination of Course. I would never harm real living Beings. ^.^

I think the problem is not only the font size but the overall font readability!

It's so painful right now. It's so difficult to decrypt and not really accessible for people with less optimal eyesight.

    1000%

The game in his current state is unbearable for people with eyesight problem.

My eyesight is not that bad for 40+ but I have a HARD time to read the quest text / tooltips.

I stopped played early on because it was too painful. The UI scale doesn't change the problem for me.

Intrepid should find another typography designed for screen and improved readability.

    Thank you!

I have been enjoying the Alpha Two so far. I have been trying to find things to report.

This is not a bug. Though, when you update the HUD editor, it would be nice to have the option to change the font sizes of the texts of specific boxes. Such as on the quest box, NPC dialogue box, loot box.

While I can read the text, the text size right now is a little to small for my tastes.

Having the option to increase the font size of text would reduce eye strain for some players.

it would be great if we could adjust the font size of text in game; especially in storage unites and bags, when it comes to trying to read the number of items in a stack it can be very difficult.

I concur and it's even more garbage on lower end machines. I recently finally made some long planned upgrades to my graphics card and monitor and while the text is still tiny, it's far easier to read than it was prior. It was almost unplayable before.
