Creating Maps or Standard Maps
s Ashes looking to have maps that you buy off players or a standard Map? To elaborate Creating maps i mean a player can sell maps that you can purchase to have vision of places you have yet not uncovered or Dungeon routes, but the seller has. I think the concept is cool i just dont think having to rediscover the same… -

Possible World/Artisan skill line idea: Artificer
So this is an idea for almost an entire class that is actually not a class in the class system meaning no augments but with a few options. Now as for the idea itself, it is of course an artificer but with a fun twist being that to get this skill line, you need to be a master metal worker, master enchanter, and than your… -
Re: Some Summoner ideas
I just pray that the Secondary Archetypes (Classes) actually have unique and different feeling from each other. I would hate for each flavor of Summoner to be a re-skinned version of the same class. The only reason I haven't dropped $250+ so I can join in Alpha 2 and beyond is I have no real info on how that is going to… -
Re: Community animation feedback
Sorry didn't realize you started a thread about the pig already. The title implies animations in general. I'll paste the answer I had from another thread: "Leave it in there. It's fine, the hamburger I had this afternoon came from somewhere. You could modernize it though. The animals are stunned, and rendered senseless,… -
Re: Quest dialogs
I think there are two separate methods here. 1) If the quest unveils like a dialog back and forth with the NPC you would feel like you have a connection with the NPC and the NPC is part of the storyline. 2) If you handed the piece of paper with the quest as you said, you would feel as if a Dungeon Master in D&D unveils a… -
A comment on arrow sound effects
The sound effects and audio feedback was fantastic in todays Ranger stream. The audio did a great job "describing" (if that makes sence) what Steven was doing and it was able to broadcast the results of his actions. You could for the most part close your eyes and have some idea of what was happening. You heard the bow… -
Re: Using players' actions to create evolving lore with each expansion
There is 2 things i see problematic with your suggestion overall:* The general expectation of completely broken mechanics (That will define close pretty much all the servers based on how broken they are) being a common thing. If it is a rare occurrence, then there won't be any need for a separate subsection of lore. * If… -
Re: Possibly a small area where you can test your main class skills before you pick it?
I have played games in the past where, during character creation, you were able to do a small "test drive" of your class (in Ashes' case, primary archetype) kit. It's a good addition, I don't see any reason not to have this. Other games didn't have this test drive, but they had a quick 2 or 3 second video showing each… -
Re: "As a solo/casual player I will miss out on the mayor gameplay"
If the majority of players will be more solo oriented, teaming up near bulletin boards, then their opinion will actually count more than guilds. Traditionally in MMORPGs you're going to see a larger population of casual players than you do of hardcore players; and that's just the way the cookie crumbles from a population…
