Founded in 1999, we are a long established UK & Ireland based gaming clan/community with an abundance of experience drawn from numerous games spanning multiple genres.

Although we aim to be highly skilled and thrive on competition, our priorities are enjoyment and a strong sense of community and friendship, and this will not change. Ensuring that all members feel welcome and valued is hugely important – we never want anyone to feel like they are just a name on a list or an anonymous follower.

We're looking to bolster our ranks in order to have a significant presence in AoC. We're primarily active in evenings and at weekends as the majority of our members work full time.

We're not a hardcore guild, though we do have some hardcore members.

Many of those who join [DkR] are considered members for life, and will always be welcome to participate in the clan even if they play in other clans at the same time, or if they decide to return after a long absence.

We normally only accept applicants aged 18 and older (average age of the guild is 28), and want members who take gaming seriously enough to play competitively, but not seriously enough to rage or get upset about it.

Our rules are mostly common sense and we ask for a reasonable level of activity from all of our members.

Do you guys recruit from outside the tea drinking islands?

I am intrigued and wonder if you guys are planning on doing anything large scale in Ashes, or are you considering becoming more a small tight-knit community?

Played with these guys and gals many years, as far as organisation and community comes, don't think you can go wrong. Skills none too shabby neither ;)

Been with these guys for a while now and I'm really enjoying the clan. Really well organised, there's a TS channel and we recently started using Discord which is very popular (lots of laughs) Hope to see many new faces in the near future!

I have been a member of this community for about 5 years , and what really had an impact on me over the years is the way our community has grown from game to game and 90 percent of new members we recruit along the way have stayed and are generally active on our forums and in the numerous games we have played together . One of the things that is really surprising is the way one is welcomed into the community and you feel like you belong . To consider DKR as a guild , (in my opinion) is a crime , we are so much more , to consider it a multinational community of friends is more accurate , altho our collective interest revolves around gaming , our members enjoy a lot more and companionship , get together s , be it online or physically (we have a yearly guild gathering) , to chat or have a laugh are on a daily basis . We take gaming seriously of course , in all the games we have taken part in the past , the build up before launch has been extremely active and productive , not only in discussion and contemplation , but also in organizing a structure that will benefit and guaranty smooth running at launch . Our site is well structured and very well organised , our clan leader has taken every care and thought in creating and maintaining it for us all these years , and is constantly innovating and adding new features to benefit the clan . So far we have over 30 of our clan members backing this game , and things are starting to take shape . I could go on for hours , line after line , short to say , i have still to meet a member of our CLAN who is not proud to be a Dark Reaver .

Every Friday we get together to play some drop-in games. We love working together in MMOs but sometimes it's fun to face off against each other in games like Awesomenauts, Heroes of the Storm & League of Legends. We've also recently been getting together regularly to play Tabletop Simulator, Jackbox Party Pack & GTA Online. We're a community that runs deeper than any one game, join us and join in!

There is always people on Discord and Teamspeak and the community has been nothing but friendly to myself and other new applicants. I have definitely found a new home here and have no issues recommending this Guild to others.

Been a member of this gaming clan for a few years now. Had some absolutely fantastic experiences with these guys and girls. Archeage and BDO. Many other games too like Overwatch. We also have a great Friday Night Mix up which incorporates many games.

If you're looking for a really friendly progressive casual guild then we are definitely for you!

Well, I think you've sold me on this one. I normally tend to start playing these things solo and join guilds with friends etc later on, but I feel like being a bit more social in this one, especially as it seems like hanging with a good crowd will be useful here..

We're super nice, and we're playing things right now, you could bring your friends over too... and make new ones!

Today's a good day to join, we host an event every Friday where we play a bunch of more casual (usually free or popular) games, have fun, have a laugh and blow each other up!

Friday is always a good day to join. We have our "Friday Mix Up" where we get together & play a few different multiplayer/co-op (usually free and/or popular) titles that are easy to drop in and get going. It's fun to blow each other up every now and then!

Hi All,
So I have just joined Dark Reavers and they seem a really friendly bunch with a long history of participation in various MMO's. The guild seems to very strong with a large player base centre around the British Isles but also alot of players from around western europe.

There are around 30 players like myself who have already committed to the Ashes Kickstarter so the Guild should have a strong presence through Alpha's and Beta's and beyond.

So if your looking to get in early with a guild and help with the buildup to AoC launch this feels like a good place to go!

Fun community driven clan to be a member of. We're ramping up solidly towards having a strong presence in AoC. Our own teamspeak and discord, and a wonderful website designed by our clan leader, Darkademic.

I joined Dark Reavers in the build up to the Guild Wars 2 release and I have to agree with others above, the time spent in the run up, speculating and discussing was almost as fun as finally playing the game with this great set of people. Recently I had to take a break due to work and returning was like I hadn't been away, that says a lot about this community for me, you are more than just a number on a roster, you matter and are considered a member for life.

This is what we also want to achieve going forward with Ashes, build a community before launch so that we can progress together from the alpha, to the beta and eventually, release. We have some fantastic people here and we would love to hear from you, whatever your experience with gaming or mmo's.

Don't just join a guild, come and join a community.
