How will you address that?
Personally, I like the approach of the original EQ before they added easy fast travel where the wizard had the ability to port to a few locations (self or others). It gave the ability to travel quickly when needed, but limited it so fast travel was only rarely used.

I wanted to ask a bit about the team and their backstories. As it appears we can only ask one question about any topic, just answer the (1) I guess. I'll still put my other questions regardless though. Since i'll forget them myself otherwise.
(1) So the gamer who founded the team, settled on lesser mmos. How many mmos can you recall that you would consider lesser and what real parts about them made them lesser in your POV? Any mechanic issues or what?
(2) (Multipart question) To the part of the team that worked on the X-Com series. What xcom games did you work on, was there a certain time era you worked on xcom games (E.g. 1995-2006), always have or recently introduced? In what areas of the xcom games did you work on? Was it stuff to do with modding, localization, languages, graphics, ideas, mechanics or what? What would you consider your favourite part about xcom and what about xcom strove you to passionately work on the game?
(3) (Multipart question) To the guy who worked on CoD series. What would you consider your favourite CoD game and why? What CoD games did you work on? What organization were you apart of when working on the CoD series or were you not in an organization? What would you consider your favourite mechanic or idea ever released inside of a CoD game? When working on CoD games were there any organizations or individual people who cooped in creating the product? If so, who? What part of the fps and Moba side of CoD attracted you / strove you to work on CoD? Or was it something else entirely?
(4) To the guy who worked on the PlanetSide series. When starting planet side what was the ideal in mind for what you wanted to create and were you happy with the final result of planet side?
Don't really have more to ask about the team then that. Would love if anyone else had any ideas or questions about the team I could add to that.
While in voice chat today and discussing a few topics, I brought up a question about weapon types and damages.
Will there be certain types of weapons that will do certain types of damage to certain types of armor?
example: hammer doing +crushing damage to plate armor, and sword doing +slashing damage to leather armor.
Maybe this will help us during battles and some smaller fights to have a weapon on hands to help better defeat our foe...Since from what I've read and heard, we can swap out our weapons to our liking. I think having these extra bonuses may be something that will add to the game.
Thank you if you are able to answer this, or possibly put this idea into the minds of the others. :)
And if possible, a second question concerning the "fast travel" or lack there of. In the before mentioned MMO, magic users were able to teleport to areas they had previously been to and performed a ritual (marked a rune). They also could open gates that others could use to that location. Will something like that be an option for say, the mage class?
Will servers kick you off if you are not moving for a period of time like some MMOs or always keep you online? I prefer never get kicked!!!
Or can you only use "attack" skills if an enemy is targeted? (like most tab targeting games).
Thanks for the answer.
