Right now I have an MSI gaming laptop (apache Pro) that's a tad bit outdated. It works, but I've tried other MMOs with it and it's just sub par. Also, just landed a new job, and this one pays well, so I plan on using my MSI laptop for the alphas and betas, then when the game is finally released in about a year and a half I will have enough money for a brand new gaming laptop. *Is really excited*
I find it sad that people just expect broken stuff now. It has become the normal thing to expect.
It hasn't "become" the normal. Most MMO's released have issues since the very beginning. Server load on a launch day, all into the same starter zones, login server, massive amounts of people pinging the servers is an unusual load that no one can handle.

True, but lets keep our fingers crossed that Intrepid not having a pushy publisher will help eliminate many of these issues, if not totally.
Since it's a little far off, I haven't planned to much, but basically it boils down to mostly a 5 step plan:
1. Make sure I'm not on-call for work 2. Take the week+ 3 days off 3. Do the emergency things my wife/son need me to do as they come up 4. ... 5. Profit..? (In joy and happiness)
Optional step 6, try to get my wife to play as well!
1. Get release day. 2. get a week off work. 3. Send wife somewhere else 4. Wait out the first rush (old rule: never play on patch day) 5. Enjoy the empty starter areas because everyone will be one stage ahead.
So we will probably just get a release pack for him incase he does not like it.
No need to "get a release pack". The game will be free to download, the only thing required at launch will be to activate a $15 a month subscription. He can try it for a month, if mmos aren't his thing, that is all you are out.
My boyfriend and I will reccord a lot of content so we can share when the alpha 1 is done. We will be focusing on sharing all kind of things we can and translate it to Spanish so we make the Spanish community bigger. Im interested on using all classes with subclasses, combat system and PvP.
