  • I posted the same message as above. With a 3 letter short cut for the name and my post needed to be approved
  • From Silkroad  Online: Within each region or continent a World Boss would spawn and an announcement would be on the screen; "Uruchi has spawned in Tarim Basim", being able to spawn within several locations. It would require a good amount of players to take down the world boss as when its health lowers it spawns more  and more mobs (with higher damage output).

Upon killing the World Boss, the person who  did the most damage would have their name announced across the server saying "[AyJayPee ] slayed Uruchi" and it would drop slightly more special  and buffed items, but these items were non repairable and non tradable  where after so much use would break.

People would wait  in a location that she can spawn in, only to find it has spawned down the road and others could be crossing its path during a trade route. So much fun was to be had, plus bragging rights of course.

I think that may possibly be a forum bug, I had something similar happen about a week ago, never heard anything back or saw it getting posted.... had absolutely nothing offensive at all in it.

They did say they won't do server announcement for them spawns. Rather players wander across them

Yeah I said ESO has the skill morph system
  • Something like the scamp in the Catacombs of ESO, or the Yeti from Hawken.

A mob that will just spring out of no-where, and run past and keep going and if your luck enough to catch it drops a great bounty!

Alternatively, a mob that feeds of the pain endured growing stronger as it is taken down, increasing in difficulty and potential drop as more attach. The catch, drop with a few the bounty is small, drop with many and the bounty is large but random to a few.
  • I think the longer they are left the harder and better drops might well be in their plans!

I would like to see a spell or technique development system! This would be innovative!
You mean you gain proficiency and they morph into a stronger version?

Very much what ESO uses right now

    Pack Dolls from Ashron's Call.
    Fishing from Ultima Online
Collections from Everquest 2 (though I would like it for bone quests they remember to add all of them to the world)

I miss my Plush Mosswart
  • From Asheron's Call:

    - blank books(Tomes) that you could write in

    - the ability to inscribe items in the game with a personal note
(on every item detail pane there was a blank section on the bottom that a person could write something in, and only they could edit it)

    -allocatable xp
(as you gained xp towards your next level you could freely use that xp to raise your skills OR attributes, regardless of when you lvled. DAoC was a shock when I found out that your attributes 'auto leveled')

Lineage 2's pvp system... oh wait... that's already being done

How about their hero system? Basically a gladiator style event once a month to give a boost in attributes and skills to the winner of each primary class
  • Transmogrification in Wow. I want to change the appearance of your armor and weapons.
I agree with talismanian but not wow transmogrification... I prefer guild wars 2 transmogrification. It was much simpler.
  • Lotro's 'drunk' effects....
  • Transmogrification in Wow. I want to change the appearance of your armor and weapons.
I agree but only with top gear, I'd like to be able to judge a character's level by their gear. Especially in a game with open PvP
  • A universal sneak across all classes like ESO. I know I may be alone in this but I personally grew to love this feature.
  • Tracking skill, where you can see players path (foot prints) for up to 1min after they have gone. Even if they are invisible.

    As in Age of Conan
  • True rolling oceans, ebbing tides where ships bob up and down.

As in Sea of Thieves. Their is procedurally determined so that it carries no strain on the server and keeps a fair playing ground between pvp players.

Key point at 1min 10 seconds

    SAFEFALL.
I can't remember any mmo that we've played where "falling from great heights" wasn't at least one of your reasons for dying.
Along time ago you couldn't die in Tera from falling, you would still be left with 1hp though.

I reckon they said there will be something like that.
  • dungeons drops to level of each player ie. if i'm level 14 i pick up level 14 gear where a level 50 would pick up level 50 gear
  • dungeons drops to level of each player ie. if i'm level 14 i pick up level 14 gear where a level 50 would pick up level 50 gear
I don't think they'll be scaling dungeons to player level, however, so this could be exploited by one-shotting low level dunegons.

Someone please correct me if I'm mis-remembering their stance on content scaling
  • Raiding - Make the selected nodes that are built up open up a raid :3
  • Guild wars / alliances / monthly tournaments

    How about:

    - No fast travel.....wait
    - Full player driven economy......humm
    - Death with consequen.........ahhh
    - No factions and fully open and dangerous PvP........dammit
    - A huge number of classes to choose from.....son of a...
    - A huge world that can be explored and will mean something if you have.......arg

Well hell, it appears as if AoC has already crossed a lot of things off my "must have" list.

What AoC still needs (or doesn't):
    - A hugely in depth crafting system (at least on par with say ESO)
    - A journal of accomplishments (Ala ESO or WAR)
    - the ability to make a rat race....Queek!
    - A monk class (yes, I'm shameless :D )
    - No button mashing combat ftw.
    - No perpetual gear grind (ESO was good about this, WoW was not)
    - No level cap raising, increasing abilities alternate ways (ESO or DAoC)

those are a few things that come to mind.
  • Lineage 2 had a weekly blind bit auction for some unique or special item!

Never won but enjoyed having the occassional bid!

Even the race tracks betting was fun when a few friends would join in. At least when the game was still fresh
  • Whilst I do not find the combat style of "Extinction" appealing, one feature I have not come across that I would like to see that is kind of implemented in this game is the physical impact of taking down a raid boss illustrated.

If your team focussed their fight on a leg of a boss, then they can actually take out the leg and the boss may no longer be able to walk well or at all.

Take out its arm, and it may not be able to wield a weapon or throw an attack.

Take out the neck for the final blow.

Now not wanting a copy but would enjoy having a focused  / tactical battle that showed consequence.
  • Climbing onto big bosses and whacking them directly in the face like in Dragon's Dogma Online

    One can dream
