  • I would gather with the other displaced people. regroup and find a new place to rebuild work out where we need to stregthen.  come back later and retake what was once ours and so the cycle continues.

I will focus on regrouping with the people that helped build the node whether my own guildies or affiliated guilds, dusting off, arriving at a reasonable course of action and proceeding with the new plan.  The new plan could involve any of the options presented or a combination of option 1 with 2 or 3.  But my focus will be on ensuring the people that built the node with me are able to stand back up and find a place to survive and hopefully thrive.
    This
  • Hard to tell since I don't know how the nodes are. If I was disappointed in my node already, then I move on. If you got a strong relationship with it, and with the players. Revenge is sweet :)

    I'm stealing @Marenor's answer.  Because I couldn't have said it better.  :)
I'm kinda thinking along the same lines.  Time will tell.  Revenge is sweet, but sweeter still is not giving up and letting others get you down.  It is the best defense against evil.
  • I would sulk. However, alpha and beta should give me time to figure out what to do after I  finish sulking. I just love the world altering ramifications of 'leveling a city'.  Better be sure that that city wasn't one that was supplying you with items you needed.  Did a certain type of metal come from there? No more caravans for you, buster!
  • Be annoyed at first, but start rebuilding. Though this also gives you an opportunity to restyle as it were, which is great fun. To me anyways. This way I don't have to take everything down myself!  Silver lining found!
  • I'm interested in each of the node types, so will probably just pick up and move to a new one. Unless I've joined a guild and they insist on staying/rebuilding.

Also, as @Karthos mentioned, whiskey usually helps

Nothing in this game is expected to be static, and I'm cool with that. Love the concept, actually. So I think I'll do, with my characters, what I'd do in real life; stop. Look around. Be aware of the node possibilities around me. Do I want to travel to another? Do I like this little piece of land? Whatever the answer, that'll dictate the actions my characters take, and it'll be a part of the progression of the overall game, for me.

I can't wait to see how this all works, and how it'll shape our characters and communities.

Edit: This vote should have been "None of the above." Apparently I've not had enough coffee yet today, as I can't click the bloody button I wanted to click!
  • Some nodes wil never be defeated, 100% sure of that.
  • I'm the one who will destroy the nodes  >:)>:)>:)>:)

    Jk im noob :/
  • Hmm moving to a new node will give new experiences and new content to see.
Doing all over again on same node ...hmm.

Well if the community around the node is awesome i would stay. Priority would be rebuilding the tavern....*hic*
  • And by something else i mean bloodthirsty revenge by hoarding monster coins and participating in every gloabal monster event the enemy town has to fend off
  • If you leave nodes after they are wiped out do they become nodes for the dead

Ohhh necropolice...(in my minds eye) Nagash grinning as his army of undead expands
  • Where war is, is business. Doesn't matter to me, I'm more that type of person that looks for areas where you can make money.
  • Haha like someone would be that much of idiot to try and do it, but if he does it I will hunt him till the end of time c:

"Necropolice" the new undead crime fighting squad >:):mrgreen:

  • Probably cry, especially if I spent a lot of time on housing and the community.
Yes, this... having to uproot a business and redecorate, our behind a refugee means that I'll probably sirens a few days dining into a duvet... But tbh, who knows yet, it's only being faced with a situation that reveals how we're going to respond :D

I already had planned on being more towards the "evil" side anyway. Maybe I'll find a guild of likeminded marauders to pillage with me. Mwahahah ahem
I'll be leaning towards "good" when playing through my individual story but when it comes to nodes, I consider my enemies to be evil and my allies to be good. I guess you can say the act of revenge is something an evil character is more likely to do, but in the wild west two wrongs make a right.

That said, it also depends on context.

If the enemy was a former ally that decided to betray us and join another alliance, then I'd definitely make it my mission to reclaim the node if I liked the node's location and its community.

If my own node was being a bully after reaching metropolis status and we had been prodding other node communities, it'd be more a case of comeuppance, so I might just wander off to another node if that happens.
I think kind of similarily. Though, I also have a mind to steer clear of the people I have come to know on these forums. So, if I happen to see any of you-though I will be playing more of a villain-rest assured I will not be gunning for you. Allies and known associates I would never attack, unless warranted and/or it was a guild thing/not my decision.
Makes conscious note to start putting more efforts into making contacts on the forum
  • It shall rain fire and blood.  >:)
  • Sweet revenge.

My focus isn't to water my garden in my decorated house hold (well maybe only after I've had one too many beers).

I live to destroy my enemies wherever they are, so as long as I have enemies to kill, and there is good PvP to be had I'm fine with stuff being burned.

Hell, I'll be the one burning the nodes down.  B)
  • I would definitely be furious and take a bloody revenge if possible, but at the same time I wouldn't want to stay homeless, so maybe I would become a citizen of other node with my lesser tier of housing.
  • I for the most part will be sticking with my guild so it really comes down to what we as a whole decide. though personally I am open to all options but sometimes a change of scenery after "settling a score" can be fun B).
  • The cries of villager and citizen screams will not go unanswered. Amidst the rubble of our dreams, you will play king to your own empire. But know this:

As Tyrion said, “I will hurt you for this. I don't know how yet, but give me time. A day will come when you think yourself safe and happy, and suddenly your joy will turn to ashes in your mouth, and you'll know the debt is paid."
  • @Megs I think most of my likes come from you xD
  • I cope with tragedy everyday when I open my eyes.

    *queue violins*

I went with option 2 then started reading what people were saying. Dumb move on my part because I think your idea is probably something more along my line of choice!
  • Not sure... It all depends the direction my guild and alliance of guild goes. It's a game and it's designed to blow up and its fun building as well. So no skin off my nose.
  • I'll end up focusing on rebuilding with a similar node type, I'm sure, but seeking a chance to get revenge will never leave my mind.  Not until that node is eradicated!
