Glorious Alpha Two Testers!
Alpha Two Realms are now unlocked for Phase II testing!
For our initial launch, testing will begin on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 10 AM Pacific and continue uninterrupted until Monday, January 6, 2025, at 10 AM Pacific. After January 6th, we’ll transition to a schedule of five-day-per-week access for the remainder of Phase II.

Sewer Systems
It's been clarified by Steven that sewer system will be an in game experience!
This is great news! Now to ponder on which type of node the sewer system will be located in, I have my money placed on the Scientific nodes, hopefully that wont be it!
I'm also wondering if Quests will be taken place down there, perhaps the slums of some nodes will be down there? Or the black market even. That'd be cool!
I can imagine a hidden lair in one of the sewers along the lines of this
and the map could potentially look like this? Though I would like maps to be undiscovered, especially for areas like this.
There could also potentially be sewers monsters as well, or mobs.
There is so much potential involving sewers, and I'm sure nobody wants to pee in a bucket and toss it out the window, imagine how unsanitary Ashes would be then.

Hadn't thought about racial architecture...fascinating to think about Underrealm sewers.

If IS needs any advice on design I'm sure I can convince a few of my Clan Skyre brothers to go over and help with the engineering
I don't think I'd necessarily want to see elves have a sewer system instead of humans or dwarves, because they all have the same intellect you know?
At least in my opinion, no race has ever necessarily been dumb... orcs are the stereotypical "idiots" and I really hope Ashes proves that wrong!
So far we have the scientific node which has the sewer systems:
Next we have the divine nodes that have the crypts:
Then we have the economic nodes with the black market:
And finally the militaristic node with the underground brawling:
I don't see the sewers as being a sign of intelligence in a mmo - more of an environmental characteristic which might be more suitable for Tulnar as a race or as @Dygz said an economic node for "underground" trade xD
The symbolism of a sewer in an mmo is more imaginable than its practical purpose xD
You know @nagash would be all for the divine node
That's where I'd hope the "thieves den" would be located.
It would be cool for each kind of node to have their own uniquely themed underground area like the above mentioned. Perhaps militaristic nodes could also have torture chambers??
