Do you think you should be able to climb walls, mountains, trees, etc.?
Hey guys! Just wanted to know you're opinion on some things.
Do you guys think there should be some type of skill line that could be learned to climb walls, scale sheer cliffs, climb the tallest tree? I personally find that a lot of games restrict you to the ground. If you want to get to the top of the mountain you can't unless it has a path. Since A.O.C. is heavily around exploration and adventure I personally would love to be able to climb a random mountain, maybe I find a new metal, maybe I climb a big tree and get hit by a squirrel.
I do think that certain nodes could have their political leaders choose to upgrade the nodes walls to make them smooth so they cannot be scaled in the event of an attack. Something to make it so it's not over powered, and that 300 people attacking a rival node can just climb the walls. But something so that exploration has no limits with being able to climb a huge mountain and fight a world boss of sorts up there, or find a treasure map to a treasure in a unexplored part of Verra!

99% I'll play mage as well, but I love all classes, and all classes should has its own thing. I mean mage cannot be climbing, but how about flying... Maybe we can play Quidditch in the game.
It doesn't have to be an official mechanic, we should be able to do it on certain terrain.
But for everyone, not only rog and hunters. I hate playing rog.
Vindictus or DD:Dark Arisen anyone?
Sounds alright, if done well. Not sure it fits with the game.
It would be nice if some vines clinging to trees or walls could be climbable also!
rather that it's reachable by all, just with different utility skills....
If mages blink would have the ability to click somewhere and there you go, hands down for that.
It cold add some atmosphere in game - high secret locations/hidden caves and treasure chests etc.
I will be very disappointed if everyone cannot climb to some degree.
I like the idea of the rogue being the only class that can climb up sheer tower walls (while everyone else has to go inside and use the stairs) but I want everyone to be able to climb a mountainside. Exploring will be such a fundamental aspect of this MMO, as stated on multiple occasions by the devs, so I can’t see them making any part of the world only accessible to a small subset of players based on class.
If it is as USE described then I’ll be happy enough – finding the alternate ways up to the cavemouth in the side of a cliff is part of the fun.
It would be interesting to see it be a skill line that can be levelled, like in the other AoC – Age of Conan.
