I have a feeling this 1 is easy , guessing World of Warcraft wins by a landslide. I'm curious though to see the games that people started with. If I didn't list your game please feel free to leave a comment below.

Also, was this Frist MMO you played the most memorable if so please describe.

Where is Shatered Galaxy? The first 2d MMORTS
That was 20 years ago with a 28kb/s Modem.
If not that then where is Ragnarok Online?
RO was pretty popular during its time

I started WoW at the end of Classic, then switched to GW1 and AION after WotLK. Good times.

I love it how some aren't even in the list.

I played Lord of the Rings when it came out. Pretty fun for a WoW clone. Played some RO on a free server that emulated the official experience levels. Wasn't really hard core into either of them though.

Runescape probably was my first one.

Pretty difficult to include all MMORPGS specially in the mid 2000s with the MMO boom.

The list was getting really long, sorry for not having them all.

I think he got all of the ones that mattered though. I don't really care if you started with Clifford the Dog MMO because it was probably a small community game anyway.

LotRO, and still play it. I bought it with my very first paycheck in 2008. I've dabbled in others over the years, some free to play, some sub, but LotRO will always be home.

I approve of the order (well mainly the one on top :) )

DAoC was the first and will always be the best imho. I swear if someone will just make a true successor to DAoC (not the vaporware MJ is peddling) it would be huge.

Diablo 2 is pretty close, but an ARPG. I like how it's loot table is balanced though.

It was a toss between Runescape and WoW

I was late to EQ, but EQ it was. Got to enjoy the Commons tunnel Market (at least it was Commons tunnel on Bristlebane) until the bazaar started. Many happy memories from EQ. I am still friends with one guy from my first really memorable group. Good 12 hours starting in CB and heading to Steamfont.

Remember what a thrill it was to get to and finally kill Crush back then?

I hope Ashes gives even half the memories I have from EQ.

    Anyone else Bristlebane?

In the big picture I kind of got a late start. I was a dedicated FPS player (original Call of duty, battlefield) in the late 90's - 2000's. Started MMO's with Eve in 2008 and WoW a few months later, and many others since. The last couple years I started playing what I consider a branch of MMO in survival games like Ark and 7days to die.

Runescape was my first, but WoW was my main MMO for years longer than runescape.

Really interesting seeing where people started and get the MMO bug. Personally if the community is strong and we weed out the bad personalities then it's on of the best experiences ever. For me DAoC was a game where the faction community was strong and people would shun the trolls and strong realm pride. Now we have Faction based games like Archeage where Steven is right , you want to kill half your own faction.
