Can you describe a bit more about the mechanics of the caravans? Is it an automated process where the caravan automatically paths between nodes, or will players have some control over their caravans or perhaps the routes they take?
Read the comic here!
Given that Steven is well aware of problems involving other cosmetic stores, I was looking to clarify a few details. Specifically:
1) Will items be sold for a limited time, such as how the current store rotates every month?
2) Do you plan to sell other items besides cosmetic skins, such as emotes or toys?
3) Will cosmetics released post-launch be utilized in the world similar to how cosmetics are used now to decorate the world? (i.e If you release a cosmetic months after launch, will we all of a sudden see random NPC’s and buildings in the world using these skins?)
A schematic that once started/placed by one of the craftsmen required for the item, must be interacted with and progressed by others of different professions.
What about when you form a family, will that create a family name? Applied to all, who are part of it.
Are there any visible indications, that tie family members together? Seen by others.
For example, the guild leader would be given a crown.
Will Guilds in Ashes that own a castle also have access to exclusive accessories/items, apart from the flying mount for the leader?
Do you envision guilds being split into 2 separate guilds, one for crafting and one for everything else based off the guild perks? Or will a top raiding/pvp guild still be able to have crafting perk benifits?
Will it be possible to turn off Wand attack weaving/Melee filler skills, in exchange for more powerful spells with longer cast times?
This would be a really, really nice feature!
-An example of too much weaving is SMN in FFXIV, they call it the Arthritis job because it has so many off GCD weaving skills and pet abilities/skills you have to click between the global cool down timer. It is very fatiguing and exhausting to play for any length of time.
edit: oh bonus q for the san diego crew: best taco shop - going to need you to lay it on the line.
having shop in the game is very risky. in lineage 2 having shop in the game lead them to sell soulshot in the game shop which mean the player paying money for every swing with there swards. in wow having game shop lead them to sell the best looking mounts in the shop or add some mounts that have no meaning to the lore or the game story just to make players buy it. in path of exile they sell the best looking gear in the game yes it has no stats but looking like holy warrior in full set is much better then having the best gear in the game but they don't match with each other. and I don't need to talk about new world. right now ashes of creation is our last hope as mmo player and having shop can lead in the future to bad things like the ones we have in all those other games.
also a monthly sub for 15$ per month if you have 100K player that's like 1500000$ as someone who work in servers and tech I know that will cover all the hardware needed and you will have so much as profit too. as for us as a players 15$ that's just 1 fast food meal
TLDR;
having shop in the game lead devs to create problems so they can sell solutions. that happen in every game we know right now why the risk in AOC.
