I hope that instanced PvP such as Arenas and Battlegrounds will award trophies and cosmetics.

    I hope so too

I've played enough MMORPGs to know that people like the OP that goes to forums to talk about how they want to PK and get trophies for the players they kill - are usually the worst players that quickly rage quit after getting farmed by the real PvP players, the ones that don't feel the need to get a trophy for a kill.

Sounds like you were the one getting farmed and you're still salty about it

Seems like it would be toxic walking around with a bunch of players heads attached to you..I can just imagine those types of people seeking out those that they've killed to antagonize them with their own head. The thing is, there's no way to regulate this kind of a system properly. Everyone dies sooner or later, even the best players. You could die 100v1 and then someone cuts your head off and brags about it "look I killed so and so, heres their head to prove it" when really they didn't do shit. Or perhaps you're minding your own business and a random group decides to flag on you just to troll and get your head.

Warhammer had trophies but they were from achievements. Some may have been from pvp, killing bosses or mobs, things like skulls, shrunken heads, various ornaments. The difference was these didn't resemble specific players. That's a better way of doing things.

Ah, so from my asking about trophies im apparently a rage quitting crybaby?

Why do I sense feelings of projection here?

I've been a UO player for years (Still touch it from time to time as well) I've been in the full loot, camp for probably longer than you've been playing games. :)

UO, Eve Online, Etc. (was 7th richest in eve online at one point) But to each their own. Wish you the best in game senor. ;)

An idea I had after the Node Wars showcase was war trophies, where the winner node could capture the loser's colors and display them in the Node settlement. Then maybe the loser would unlock a cheap war type to recapture their colors. People will fight to the death over their pride, this could help develop rivalries, the sort of drama that'll make an MMO interesting.

This is a throwback to the old days of warfare, where your battle colors/standard being captured was a massive mark of shame.

Not attached to you, but some kind of trophy you can show off on your house or something, or something trophy like. Like, I loved how UO did it. I know thats like. 30 years ago now lol. but still.

Im still wracking my brain on how they could implement this.

Is there going to be any sort of pvp trophy mechanic in game? not like a golden cup type trophy but like... something to show off. Lol.

Ultima online, if you killed someone you could take the head. We would always mount it and "lock it down" on our roof to show the people we've gotten.

Any form or system like that or similar in game? Thinking if I could decorate my freehold a little bit with something like this, it would be pretty cool. :)

Maybe a "Killboard" that lists who you've killed, or been killed by, etc.

I like it. But don't limit it to just decorations. Those trophy rewards like body parts could also be used in recipes for crafting. Bone handled weapons. Skull helmets. Stuff like that. I am all for looting body parts.

I am all for looting body parts.

It could be lore-wise get explained with that the bodypart in Question was chopped/hacked off before the Death of the Person who turns into a smoldering, tiny pile of Ash when Death hits the Stage.

Back then in WoW Vanilla - when WoW still had massive Balls - we had gruesome Trophies in Alterac Valley all the time. :sunglasses:

Leaderboards and such are great, glad TL has them for us competitive players.

I still say ears and noses for trophies but if w must go according to lore, just have urns drop as trophies for the players ashes

Arena PvP trophies and plaques are a good idea. Not so into the player-titled skull idea for regular PvP, just seems a bit toxic on its face to make it that personal

A Bounty Hunter contract record though.. Rewarding community service with a readable scroll of slain Corrupted

That’s just a copy of Diablo
Rather a kill board showing for the server tbh
For Arena and other instances has to be leaderboard that across multiple servers that’s compete against each other

Similar to the Call of Duty ranked leaderboard
Shows everyone and top 250 of the game for example
