There are always tons of conversation floating around when playing MMORPGs that involve the complete lack of balance when it comes to PvP. In these games it's fairly obvious that true balance is literally impossible due to there being infinite combinations of gear, spells and stats.
Are there plans to regulate scaling or balancing during PvP encounters? Or will your prowess in combat be directly related to the status of your gear?
There are many games that make gear specifically designed to be taken into combat, there are some games that completely separate the balance/scaling of PvP from your character in the open world to make PvP far far easier to balance. Perhaps the balancing will be different between different forms of combat, but with PvP having such incredible stakes in Ashes, it seems deeply important to explore your methods of balance.
Two of the common RPG themes with respect to “adventure” are the dungeon beneath the city and the internal intrigue within the city’s power structure (cultists, cabals, criminal organization). What are the plans for nodes to produce this content, beyond the player driven political games?
Will there be Stakes in instanced on demand pvp? (Duels, Arenas, PvP game modes)
Will there be any sort of PvP Tourneys? (As in bracket 1v1s, or Team v Team)
if yes, will there be stakes?
There wont be instanced pvp progression or rewards.
Only for the election of military mayors (sub to change).
AoC doesnt encourage instanced pvping.
There will be some arenas (square fences with pvp on) where you can have a bit of fun, but no progress and rewards.

What determines how many augments a Player can use in their build?
For example every player gets the same amount of augments, players use augment points, players use skill points on augments or players can just augment every ability freely
How many people can work on a tavern? If some friend have a tavern in his freehold, can I work as a waiter or a minstrel? In case of yes, to be a minstrel is it needed to have Bard as one of your archetypes?
Is there anything else you can tell us about the Summoner archetype? I, and several others have posted in general discussions threads (https://forums.ashesofcreation.com/discussion/56158/summoner-paths-summoner-archetype#latest) and there's a lot of great thoughts and directions it could go. It would be awesome to get more details around one of my favorite types of archetypes.
I know we have heard basics on how the political system will vary per node type in structure. How vast will the governing system be though? Will there be political figures outside head leadership, such as diplomats for potential peace talks between waring nodes as an example?
This concept feels a bit too ambitious, but I figured due to the ambitious nature of Intrepid you might be willing to be pioneers of a system like this, so here it goes!
At the time of the official launch will there be any way to increase the odds that your guild mates are able to obtain a slot on the server should it become a high population server? Perhaps a guild reservation system with an allotment of slots?
It feels horrible watching guildies being forced to a newly spun up server just because they had to work during the first day of launch. Then a week after launch the server they ended up on gets merged with some other random server after the falloff happens.
Is there any ingame system for players to remove a single citizen of their Node other than Node destruction or 'harrassment', and if so what happens to their house?
Will players be able to raise flags, banners, and/or bunting on their personal freehold lots and buildings? or is that something limited only to guild halls and ships?
Can you let us know your thoughts on implementing AI into the game? Voice acting quests is a huge area I feel, there are even versions where you actually talk to a bartender and the NPC AI talks back responding to what you say.
With the defenders in a Node Siege having a "considerable defensive advantage" that increases with Node level, and with the Siege said to require a similar amount of resources and time as it took to develop the Node that is being sieged how often do you think Metropolis Nodes will be successfully Sieged?

If I have two characters on the same server, can they both be citizens of the same node, or only one character can be a citizen per server?
