What do streamers have to do with this opinion? People who agree with the current system clearly cant look at it from any other point of view. Not to mention as it stands it is extremely broken and used as a tool to grief players and bait the people its ment to protect. But just for a pure basic example. If a friend and I are running a caravan or 2 and we want to keep it a secret.. maybe they arnt cool with my clan or whatever reason. I should be able to kill players who come to camp us or give out our location. As it stands they can just bring more and more people and camp us until numbers are in their favor. You should be able to kill " non combatants". Its obvious. Being attacked isn't the only reason to kill someone in this game. Expand your thinking. And the answer of change gear to do so is also dumb. Anyone with higher than room temperature IQ is going to see my character stripping or switching out all my gear and just move out of range. Come on guys..

This opnion comes from people that know nothing about the game. Where do you think those people will likely come from right now? The problem is people like you who consider themselves superior gamers. Anyone that disagrees with losing gear as a consequence doesn't know anything bout the game? I guess hundreds of people dont know anything about the game by your logic. I don't watch streamers and we're playing the same game. Losing gear doesn't make sense. You're literally defending a systems that's already proven to be broken.

If you don't want to lose your really nice gear then don't do things that will cause you to flag for corruption, it's as simple as that.

Corruption mechanic is not fine, people are getting accidental corruption isn't the only problem. The other issue is people bypassing corruption entirely by having their friend kill them and take their gear. Yes they do get blight but it's not enough of a deterrence to people still going red. There's plenty of ways to make the person who originally got murdered have a shot at getting the drop from a corrupted player so that his friend/ally can't just loot him. I don't think it should be always that a red player can't get away, which pretty much is the case right now they need to die somehow. Next problem with corruption is that a red player can't even fight back. I think someone attacking the red player should flag them just to that one red person. Right now defending themselves as a red player means they will go more corrupt. If the original event was accidental or even warranted/deserved, then they should be able to defend themselves. If these things can't be done, the question should be, why does this system even exist? Steven wanted to be able to kill anyone anytime if you accept the consequences, but if those don't even function correctly or can be bypassed, then I question why the system isn't just paused for now.
