Are people going to be punished harshly for exploits? Will there be things like a wall of shame?
when you do you release new packs and what wil de price be like 100 to 150 dollar or lower ?
like only a alpha 2 key
thanks for you help and reading this !!!
My question is, how do you plan to keep players of varying levels involved in relevant gameplay with each other?
I have a group of friends I play most games with, but as we all know scheduling a group of adults for game night is a hassle in the best of times.
Typically in mmorpg's once you are outside a certain level range any meaningful group content is locked to carrying or boosting the lower level player.
Outside of the intended need for lower level materials in high level crafting what other gameplay loops or incentives can we utilize when playing with friends that are either a higher or lower level than us?
You know what to do
I run around the world and heal stuff.
Thank you so much for bringing this up! This is one topic I´m highly interested in, too and which was already discussed in a different thread here on the forums.
PLEASE Intrepid make more FEMININE looking armor and not just pretty much the same armor for male and female...
...
I also asked this previously.
Even if they sold an .STL by converting the game's character file into an .STL
Since it's mostly online service, I doubt we have access to the game character model files unless we contact them directly.
I did get a response from their team on a youtube video a few months back saying it isn't a service, but they might look into it...
I assume if we show enough interest they will figure out how to do it.
If the character models are being made in something like Blendr they can do it in the click of a button.

Female armor should be exactly that: a normal armor with more space to boobs, nothing more, nothing less.
Woman don't wear armor to be attractive, but to get protection.
Can we see a milestone roadmap for the alpha 2 and its cadence for updates?

Would Cleric/Ranger (Protector) be more effective as a healer than dps, while Ranger/Cleric (Soulbow) would be an opposite?
Would maybe Soulbow be more focused on self heals and holy dmg added to their shots?
i'am very excited

@SonicXplosion (question) - One option that may satisfy your desire for off-tanking is taking a secondary class other than Tank There may also be ways to build your character that allow for you to mitigate raid-wide damage
@Senko (question), @MeLlamanOsaka (question) - The team is hard at work on the Tulnar and are excited to showcase them when they're ready!
@Vyril (question) - Sounds like a situation that could cause some interesting political intrigue between guilds and nodes!
@arkileo (question) - Augments are applied individually to active skills from a character's primary archetype. Augment effects are intended to be templatable so they can apply to a range of abilities. A character can have one active augment on an ability at any given time. You can read more about this here, on the wiki!
@ExliedRanger (question) - This livestream should have demonstrated the direction and intention of the Bard archetype at this time! This should give you an idea of the kit you'll have to play with when it comes to secondary classes
@Tenguru (question) - When it comes to lore, we want to keep our cards close to our chests for now, so we avoid spoilers
@jmann (question) - We currently do not have plans to provide .stl downloads from the character creator
@Doozer (question) - At this time, we're still planning on keeping the monthly livestream cadence. The livestreams will likely change in that they'll be more focused on development changes, feature implements, etc. occurring to the build during Alpha Two
@PaiPlayer (question) - You can check out this section of the wiki, in which Steven discusses risk & reward with the Caravan system
@Clonage (question) - Due to the stage at which we are in open development, players may see archetype kits change frequently. Players may augment their abilities to flex their role, with one of the primary means being a secondary class
@Hjerim (question) - The team is focused on building up the internal tools that will be used to develop a newer website, and eventually an app
@-T0Mb- (question) - They're busy working in the mines! They'll emerge from the mountains when they're ready
@Leonerdo (question) - UI is a massive undertaking for a game this size. The UI team is hard at work and looks forward to showcasing updates in the future! Because we don't plan on having addon support for Ashes of Creation, we understand the importance of having good QoL features within the UI for crafting
@Antar (question) - Building your bard to deal damage will certainly be an option! This can be done through the many different ways you can customize your character. Especially with secondary classes
@savagelogic (question) - There will indeed be melee staves in Ashes of Creation! You can read about this and many other topics here, on the wiki!
@Dolyem (question) - The visibility of nameplates can be obscured by in-game objects, such as trees; by utility skills, such as Camouflage or Stealth; or through the use of disguises. You can find this answer and many more here, on the wiki!
@Godawful (question) - Ashes of Creation will be filled with many different types of quests. Such as those found in Events, and Commissions! You can learn about quests here, on the wiki!
@Gaul_ (question) - We're aware that many players are excited to join us in testing Alpha Two! If we open up the sale of Alpha Two access in the future, we will keep a close eye on sales and do our best to accommodate those who have access to testing.
@Nozzle (question) - While we'd love to have OCE servers up by the time of launch, they will likely not be available for Alpha Two.
@TopWombat (question) - Bards will have a wide range of abilities to choose from, such as wordsmithing, acting, and musical aspects. Bards have often been portrayed as a musical class and while they can be that, many Bard applications may exist in just telling a story. Telling a story is going to be the thematic component of how the Bard interacts with the party. You can read more about the Bard
@Top (question) - This is something that will be implemented during testing! Essentially, diminishing returns on something like CC effectively means that the abilities will have less potentcy the more they're used in succession. Things such as diminishing returns are subject to testing during Alpha Two.
@TypoTek (question), @William_Grim (question), @MedenFire (question) - Pre-order Packages have ended. There may be ways in the future to purchase access to Alpha Two testing. Stay tuned to our socials for any news regarding this! https://support.ashesofcreation.com/hc/en-us/articles/360033777814-How-can-I-keep-up-with-the-latest-news
@Sengarden (question) - The team is hard at work on professions, and are excited to share updates when they're ready!
@Dimitraeos (question) - Zergs are empowered by fast travel. Meaningful travel times are intended to prevent zerg play from being so much of an influence. You can read much on what has been said regarding Zergs here, on the wiki!
@chockablockdaft (question) - In what ways could you imagine a Bard using their storytelling skill for intrigue? Sounds like a good forums discussion thought starter!
@Liniker (question) - We haven't announced any changes regarding our plans with server reservations. We'll have more news to share regarding this in the future.
@Nyxxa (question) - I don't see why there couldn't be an awesome raid-healing bow wielder!
@Castai (question) - We don't have any updates to share regarding basements in Freeholds at this time
@Szolo (question) - The majority of trees will be harvestable.
@CustombyCody (question) - Some things being revealed during open testing is the nature of doing open development. However, some things like final node locations, some quest lines, and some dialogue, might be a placeholder or changed before launch. We also could use NDAs for protecting aspects of the game or development during testing
@GeatPhilisopher (question) - We read through your thread on this topic from the other week. Sharing your feedback on the forums can be insightful or helpful for the team!
@GANKLORD (question) - There sure is! You can read all about solo play here, on the wiki!
@Sorcres (question) - Achievements record things of note that happen in Ashes of Creation. Titles are unlocked by achievements in aspects of the game. Certain titles will unlock special abilities or stats during sieges and events. You can read about Achievements here, on the wiki!
@Helic (question) - We hope you enjoy the first reveal of Intrepid Studios' interpretation of a Bard for Ashes of Creation!
@Texas (question) - Here is a quote from Steven Sharif on the subject, from the wiki! "If you have that check-box for flagging with your AOEs and heals available then you will flag. If you do not have that box checked then on completion of the skill it will not flag you because the check was made at the start that there was a flagged party member; and then he will not he or she will not receive the beneficial effect as a result of the damage, if it's an offensive spell"
@Hevel (question) - Here is a quote from Steven on the subject, from the wiki! "The idea behind magic is you're manipulating the elements. They don't just have to be fire, ice, water, and air. They can be darkness, they can be light, they can be planar; a lot of different types of "elemental influences"
@SleepyKee (question) - We haven't announced any plans to change make changes to Cleric in this regard

@wildyanimal (question), @Xeph (question) - The longest buff duration in the game is currently 30 minutes. Longer duration buffs may come in the form of food. You can read more about buffs here, on the wiki!
@Vardailuvitar (question) - Here is a quote from Steven on the subject, from the wiki! "So you see an animation windup that's a telegraph on what's coming; and then you have response actions that you can take as a result of that in order to dodge, weave, move, do whatever. It is both a combination of what your rotation is but also how you have reaction abilities ready to go that you save for certain circumstances that are important"
@elements808 (question) - Milestones do play a part in the decision! It basically comes down to when we have planned to be in a presentable state and what the teams are excited to showcase

@droog_plays (question) - Logging in from various locations by itself would likely not be considered suspicious activity.

@AidanKD (question) - We have no plans on offering Ashes of Creation on cloud-streaming services at this time.
@HughJardon (question) - We hope to learn from the ups and downs that come from testing of this scale with a project of this size
@Venacier (question) - Other archetypes may also be able to play certain musical instruments at some future time. Custom music creation (using the likes of the Music Macro Language) will not be present in the game on release. You can read more about musical instruments here, on the wiki!
@SunScript (question) - Creating fake screenshots of conversations and text that didn't happen has been one of the most evil forms of magic for many moons. AI didn't invent this dark magic but perhaps made it more accessible. This is generally a not-awesome thing to do and has been for some time.
@MsDarkWhil (question) - You can read about our plans for VOIP here, on the wiki!
@Mayhem (question) - As long as it doesn't breach the Terms and Conditions, it may be fine. An example of relevant Terms & Conditions is here: "You may not use cheats, automation software (bots), hacks, mods or any other unauthorized third-party software designed to modify the Platform, Services, or in-Game experience;"
@Frosty_Thundertrod (question) - A visual representation of the development update progress and overall game progress is an interesting thought starter! I could see this being a great opportunity for a content creator We don't have plans at this time to produce such a video
@Eggyse1 (question) - The Bards will indeed be able to use musical instruments You can read all about these here, on the wiki!
@Doughnut (question) - While exploiting is indeed not awesome, finding exploits and reporting them can and will be super helpful to the team during testing! There are no plans for a wall of shame
