  • I think the fact that I thought my choice made me a no-lifer and I am way below the time amounts of some, I think I fall into the semi-no-lifer.  But I do tend to front end load my game play, so it will start out high in the range and probably diminish to the low range over time.
  • I think that is enough time out of my day.
  • Since there have been so many new Embers in the forum, time to raise this one from the ashes :)
  • I used to be a no-lifer. Now, with a wife, 3 kids, a career...2-4 hours a day when I am not exhausted. More on the weekends.
  • At launch I am thinking somewhere around 6 to 10 hours per day but of course I know in the past I can end up playing for 18 hours in a blink of an eye, sleep for a few hours and wake up and do it again. It all depends on how immersive it is.
  • My Job is a big factor on how much i will play.
  • What is this life you speak of?  Is it something purchased in the game?
  • I will absolutely no life this game for the first two weeks, 16+ hours a day (I'll take holidays haha) but then slow it down.
  • fyi, options 2-5 are all true. or rather true hours.
  • Neither really, I'm not a "no lifer" but probably more than "casual"  maybe 2 hours a day and sometimes up to 5 at the weekends.
  • Being retired I have a lot of free time on my hands.  Besides the 2-3 Cruises a year, the game will be my main pass time.  I will probably exceed the 12 hours for the first few weeks after launch but will settle into the 8-12 hours routine after I'm establish.  Also depends where I'm living in a given week usually spend 1 week a month in Lake Tahoe, then the game has to compete with the Blackjack table for gaming time.
  • 4 <8 hours
in between work and ...work? because who needs a sleep.
  • define having a life
  • I'd play 8 <12 hours I still think I have a life though although its quite a lot of time
  • To be honest I can play any time of the day or night and for as long or short a time as I wish. I need outdoor time and time to read, write, maybe a chore or two and anything else that makes me...... well, ME.   I guess that includes picking on the spouse now and then also.
  • Who need sleep anyway
  • Hello. My name is Rabbit and I have no life.
  • Realistically, 1-4 hours per day due to the fact that I'll be making videos on gameplay too. My girlfriend will likely get way ahead of me since she's pretty hyped to play.. I guess it will depend on when the NDA is lifted.
  • I am a no lifer at heart and I would thoroughly enjoy wasting away at my computer desk playing a great mmo.  Buuut my job and my new family wouldn't appreciate that so I'll be lucky to squeeze a few hours a day.
  • Why not both?
  • ODE OF THE ADDICTED

"Ashes of Creation will be my Life

I'll forsake the Sun, I'll take no Wife

I'll fight long and I'll fight hard

around my waist I'll grow some lard.

I'll chop some wood and I'll chip some rocks

I'll play in underwear and of course some socks

Sometimes it seems that something's wrong

but it matters not, we're at END of Song....."

    Well played !

With the newly released information about the game, I will have to up my original poll number by the number of hours it will take to execute my revenge on all the noobs that will use that "wand of many trolls" on me each day.

My wife games with me, but we have two kids and I like to cook so I usually don't start playing until around 7pm. I usually go until around 10:30pm. I game more on the weekends and I'm a dirty rotten casual.... kinda...
  • Hello. My name is Rabbit and I have no life.
    Incorrect! Gaming is life!
  • both... depends on the game and if it manages to hold my interest

  • When my daughter is older and I don't have to watch her every moment (it seems like) hopefully I'll be able to put in more hours.
  • I'm a hardcore-casual player. I play a lot but I don't do anything extreme.
  • I guess I'm something in between, I can be a no lifer if I have the time.

Or in some cases the game has been so good that I don't even realize how much time I am spending with it

MMOrpg's are my hobby what I love to spend my spare time doing, had my fun in my younger days drinking partying and all that stuff. Now it is a quieter life for me, I am happily single and thus have a lot of time to play mmo's.
So playing mmo's is a big part of my life, it really grinds my **** gears when people say you are a no lifer. I have a life, a good life it just involves me partaking of my favourite hobby a lot, if only others were so lucky.
I see that many wish they were, but then what makes others happy will be different from my self, to each their own.
