  • deltia gaming, saw it on his youtube
  • Someone that I follow on twitter tweeted about it back in December or January and I've been following it ever since.
  • Im always looking for a mmo that i can play to replace or take a break from WoW and i watch LazyPeons videos to find them.  Ashes of Creation was one of the videos i watched. At first I thought it was going to be the typical new MMO till i did more research.  I want this game to be my main game. Thanks LazyPeon :D
  • i found ashes of creation through my friend fenafroz

    Best way to travel!
  • I am very thankful for the gaming community and my MMO friends. I was turned to Ashes from a good friend AUVEE Shout out !! :o
  • I think it's safe to say that we all have been impressed with what we have found including a great community here.  Hopefully the search for a "good" game and one that has great interaction will come to an enjoyable end. It's been a long time coming for many of us.
  • Found it on youtube before even peon posted a video.
  • I also discovered it through a Lazy Peon's video xD

I was crazy searching google in hopes of finally hearing there's a new MMO I was so long waiting for. I did it once a few months for at least 2-3 years.
After I left my original, beloved MMO, after 7 years of playing it, I tried many MMO's and not 1 gave me satissfaction for longer than a month or two.

I just.... I think because I grew up playing MMO's I feel the need to play it. I want to get this feeling again, waiting to get home to play my favourite game with my friends. Right now I come back home and there's thiis empty hole nothing can fill :pensive:
I sound like an addict now xD

But yeah... I guess I just WANT to get addicted to a new game :D

Well... And while searching the google I stumbled upon DeathProxy channel about Ashes nad here I am! :D
I even used his referral link, because I was so grateful for hearing about Ashes :D/
  • I have no idea. I think a random ad came up on my facebook timeline when I was looking for a new game to play and it was  a youtube video which led me to the kickstarter.
  • Peon
  • Random search on YouTube and I found their first trailer, looked it up and saw hardly any posts on the forums back then but the game concepts looked really interesting so I stuck around and saw more and more people signed up then mmorpg.com made topic about the game then the forums started to grow, then KS came along and the forums exploded.

What's funny is alot if people found out about Ashes from Lazy Peon, but oddly enough, I found out about Peon because of Ashes.

I guess I'd heard if him but never watched his stuff until his Ashes video was linked here and realized what I'd been missing!
  • One of the most popular topics of discussion on the Rift forums is "what are people leaving Rift to play" (lol, poor Rift) ... And, Ashes got a mention there so i followed the link to some YouTube coverage...
  • LazyPeon made the community explode in a few days, but there were people around before :p
I got one of Cryy's videos in my random music playlist one day 5 months ago and I just watched it. Turns out his last topic was Ashes of creation. Took a deeper look and decided to build my nest and tea empire here.
You could call it fated, it was seriously random that this video turned up, in a music list, never having heard of Cryy before.

So, thank you @Cryy I might have even used your link, I'm not sure tbh.
  • was looking for upcoming mmorpg to play and this one made me take notice

I want to thank TheLazyPeon for his youtube video that introduced me to Ashes! Not sure if he is active on these forums, but I enjoyed his coverage of the game enough to look into it and ultimately pledge to the Kickstarter campaign  :D

I've come across quite who few who've found their way here via TheLasyPeon. Perhaps Intrepid owe him an interview too :)
He did have an interview or 2 with them.
    One more box ticked then.

Who you calling a peon?!   :D
  • I frequently visit the mmos.com news section. Remember one day a month of or so ago I was fed up from exam revision and decided to look at it. Found something about Ashes' node system on there which caught my attention. Since then I've been hooked. Dunno how I will be able to wait 2-3 years for the release :(

We'll all have to keep each other focused. With good company time always flies by. :)
  • A friend of mine sent me a link to a youtube video about Ashes. I'm pretty sure it was one of Deathsproxy's. After watching a few more about the game and checking out the website, I was sold. I'm pretty sure I joined the Discord that day or the next, and have been here ever since.
