    What Bartle says:

♠ Explorers delight in having the game expose its internal machinations to them. They try progressively esoteric actions in wild, out-of-the-way places, looking for interesting features (ie. bugs) and figuring out how things work. Scoring points may be necessary to enter some next phase of exploration, but it's tedious, and anyone with half a brain can do it. Killing is quicker, and might be a constructive exercise in its own right, but it causes too much hassle in the long run if the deceased return to seek retribution. Socialising can be informative as a source of new ideas to try out, but most of what people say is irrelevant or old hat. The real fun comes only from discovery, and making the most complete set of maps in existence.

I tied for my top 2...

    60% Killer, 60% Socializer, 53% Achiever and 27% Explorer
  • A killer/socializer is pretty much the characteristics of a charming serial killer. Lol.

"I like people, they come in so many different flavours."

    You're such a lover.

  • According to Mr. Bartle:

    87% Achiever
    47% Killer
    33% Socialiser
    33% Explorer

But really I enjoy all of the aspects pretty equally   :p
  • I think mine is relatively spot on, but once the exploration is done my achiever instincts kick in.  hehe. My social seems a little higher than it should be. Grrr, I wish I could change my poll vote. haha.
  • You are 60% Achiever

    What Bartle says:

♦ Achievers regard points-gathering and rising in levels as their main goal, and all is ultimately subserviant to this. Exploration is necessary only to find new sources of treasure, or improved ways of wringing points from it. Socialising is a relaxing method of discovering what other players know about the business of accumulating points, that their knowledge can be applied to the task of gaining riches. Killing is only necessary to eliminate rivals or people who get in the way, or to gain vast amounts of points (if points are awarded for killing other players).

  • This was a hard one for me as I would like to say I'm a Achiever also.. but I am really into the social aspects of games and communities. But if i had to pick one i went with Social as the Social part of the game is a lot more important to me then anything else really.

I don't know the exact percentage. And the math guy in me wants them all to add to 100%, so I'll just leave it as a list  :|

I understood it as each category has a max of 100%. Heh. That's why they don't add up.

I'm just not a fan of the Bartle test, I guess.

Gingerly puts the Cosmo quiz on the table and slowly backs out of the room before anyone notices.
  • EKAS, Not the fault of the test it didn't ask me the correct questions. :)
  • Explorer

    Achiever
    Socializer
    Killer

Which pretty much sums it up with "Killer" being the lowest score, considering 90% of the time my role is as a  healer chasing after tanks!

After finally taking a look at this "test" I didn't even bother with it.      Labels.
Some of the situations had choices I wouldn't pick and some are situational.
  • I try and socialise whilst I achieve, but I'm not very good unless I'm working towards something. I'm not sure if it's because I'm:

    (a) a bloke and can't multi-task.

    (b) A Dwarf.

  • 50% Unicorn
You're 50% unicorn, occasionally sparkly but still grounded in reality. You have plenty of magic and inspiration in your life, but you tend to check yourself on what's the most realistic path. You've found the happy medium: life can shine, even when your horn is on the inside.

Damn it, I took the wrong quiz!

    Oh wait, here we go!

    You are 67% Socialiser

    What Bartle says:

♥ Socialisers are interested in people, and what they have to say. The game is merely a backdrop, a common ground where things happen to players. Inter-player relationships are important: empathising with people, sympathising, joking, entertaining, listening; even merely observing people play can be rewarding - seeing them grow as individuals, maturing over time. Some exploration may be necessary so as to understand what everyone else is talking about, and points-scoring could be required to gain access to neat communicative spells available only to higher levels (as well as to obtain a certain status in the community). Killing, however, is something only ever to be excused if it's a futile, impulsive act of revenge, perpetrated upon someone who has caused intolerable pain to a dear friend. The only ultimately fulfilling thing is not how to rise levels or kill hapless drips; it's getting to know people, to undertand them, and to form beautiful, lasting relationships.

Not too surprising, but I did think my killer score would have been higher.  I guess It's because I'm not big into pvp so I always chose the other option for those questions, heh

Wow... I'm impressed.  I actually voted in the poll before I took the test and I'm so amazed that this quiz nailed it.  Because I don't have a lot of time in my hands like some of you,  I always try to level up faster in every MMO I play.  I usually join guilds that aren't part of a multi-game community because I don't want to be told what to do and I don't like putting pressure on myself when playing with all the requirements and BS they put you through by carrying their name.  I usually go for semi-hardcore people who balance pvp and pve.  I work 10 hours a day and can only play 4 hours on weeknights.  Usually, i'm one of those people who hits level cap third or 4th in the guild with all the end game items fully upgraded.  I also like doing server/world's firsts.
