I really want to play with Mage/ Fighter ~ Battlemage. My character is based (So far in my head... lol) on the idea of a roaming order of mages OR fighters that specialize in defending the realm/world from the 'Corruptions Return' and to do so, they learn arcane and martial skills to be able to handle most situations. I just need the name of a powerful / lightside god and give them their name: The Wardens of <Enter Gods Name> ... Or, Wardens of the Phoenix!? Anyways, Battlemage! Although we could call them Spellward(s) / Mage Wardens / Spellguard / ... I'll have more later lol
Just a thought here. I like the idea of a fighter/mage, mage fighter order to fight corruption. Might I suggest, if they create the class, a mage/monk or  monk/mage. I would think a group of 25-50 of these could really tear things up. IMHO
One last thing the kind of monk I thinking of uses martial arts.
  • tank/bard and tank/cleric or summoner is what I'm really interested in

Going to wait until the 64 combination class list is out and see what they have for Necromancer. I'm thinking either Cleric+Summoner or Rogue+Summoner. I will also try Tank+Summoner.
  • Need to know more about the classes and skills.  I'm certain my main class would cleric need more for secondary class though.
  • definatly rogue tank would be interesting ^^^
  • Well, I like damage, but I also like control. So probably tank/mage, rogue/mage, or mage/rogue. Something along those lines. Of course, it all depends. I will have to try most of the combinations out to see how everything interacts with each other. There is going to be a lot of play testing to do.
  • Summoner x Summoner seems amazing. I wonder if summoning is limited to mobile creatures or if i can summon some giant tree (since plants are living things) for aoe cc or maybe summon ents and sort. Itd also be amazing to have a skill that allows me to summon a monster that i killed and use it for a limited amount of time. By summoner im hoping my character can get some meaningful action as well instead of being limited to just a weak person that hides behind their summoned creatures
  • rogue-cleric is my first choice, pretty much anything rogue related, rogue-mage or rogue-tank could be amusing. like vhanz said above, a battle mage combo looks fun whether fighter-mage or mage-fighter. probably will all come down to how the secondary class abilities work before I can really commit to anything though.
  • I want to become something like a druid, so probably summoner-cleric. Even though summoner-summoner or summoner-rogue seem intriguing as well, since I love any necromancy-like classes.
  • I left my thoughts on it a little while ago, but I think my thoughts have changed a little. Before I was thinking either Rogue/Fighter or Rogue/Summoner, now due to playing a lot of roguelike characters recently, I am slowly getting a little burnt out on it. What I would find interesting to see mostly I think actually would be one of the following:
    Bard/Rogue
    Fighter/Bard
    Tank/Mage
    Cleric/Ranger
    Mage/Summoner
    Ranger/Fighter
    Rogue/Tank
    Summoner/Cleric

-oddly I just realized that I just put all the classes once as primary and once as secondary
  • I tend to like caster classes particularly mages. All the class combos seem interesting and will be fun to try out over time. For me I may go double down mage or go mage cleric. Weeeee looking forward to it.
  • Something that is good at exploring and still groupworthy. I was thinking Cleric / Ranger might be a good start. I do not like being too squishy though so maybe also some Paladin style like Cleric / Tank.
  • Fighter-Cleric/Rogue-Cleric

I'm curious about the Holy assassin/spellblade idea

    Fighter/ Summoner .. Ranger/Summoner. . Fisherman/chef ;)
  • Ranger - Rogue, Ranger - Mage, Cleric - Ranger
  • Bard/Summoner (enchanter) Pay me to enchant your equip bro, muhahah.
  • Battle mage (if done right), High priest/Templar/Shaman, or Spellmancer (just sounds dope AF!). Not hip on the tank classes right now maybe when i see game play of each ill judge then. I really really want to do Necromancer since i play that in D2 D&d/Pathfinder, Wow Unholy dk but i feel like there might be a lot of those when game drops when the pop of the game gets bigger and i hate playing what everyone else is i want to be that small %.
  • Ranger/Rouge (scout)

I'm a sucker for high mobility classes, even if they're terrible  :s
  • Cleric/Summoner - Necromancer

Though I don't have any intentions to play the class atm I do wonder just how this will work since the primary archetype is Cleric which is a healer, whereas I doubt the Necromancer is going to be able to heal yet some sort of mechanic that recovers HP will probably be present (maybe for his undead minions).
  • I like Paladins and Beastmasters looking forward to see what type of pets I will have.
  • Paladin and Archmage
  • Charlatan and Warden
  • Cleric/Summoner - Necromancer

Though I don't have any intentions to play the class atm I do wonder just how this will work since the primary archetype is Cleric which is a healer, whereas I doubt the Necromancer is going to be able to heal yet some sort of mechanic that recovers HP will probably be present (maybe for his undead minions).
I believe you have it backwards .The necromancer base class is a summoner .
  • Bard/Bard. I shall be your neighborhood Minstrel.
  • My two favourite classes have always been rangers and bards (when they have been available as a class in a game). Seeing them together would be interesting for me !
  • Parties of 8 can make it really interesting.  That leaves alot of room in groups for support classes.   Im curious about any class with a bard sub.  If a fighter subs bard, will there be any fighter party buffs like patk? or say a tank subs bard for a party pdef buff?  or a mage/bard for a party cast speed buff?  the combos are endless.
  • While we still lack a huge amount of information, you most likely wouldn't see party buffs from a bard sub. More likely individual buffs augmented off a core archetype ability. How can we guess this? From the statement that a cleric sub won't give party heals but individual if they keep with that line of thinking. Then again with almost no information given it is all up in the air.
  • Tank rogue. Could block, counter and trip up enemy's with some of the skills

Be awesome to be able to block an attack and throw some knifes at an enemy then pop some smoke or quick traps as a skill
  • I'm really looking forward to making a fighter\mage combo.  And then maybe a rogue\mage after that.  Basically I just want the ability to throw a fireball at someone and then teleport to them and bash them in the head with a sword.  :D
