  • @Noemad Then you will need to go mage/fighter. Not the other way round. Primary archetype will provide the skill, secondary will provide the augment. So a fighter/mage might be able to change  his charge to look like he teleports to them, he will not be throwing a fireball, then charging to them. You don't get to utilize the full skills of the secondary. You get to choose one of 4 set possible augements to the primary's skills.
Your rogue/mage would have access to full invisibility, but would not be tossing a fireball, then "poof" disappearing. The fireball possibly could have an augment that gives you a few seconds of invisibility after that, but that would be mage/rogue. Rogue mage would most likely have a stabby stabby skill, that with mage could be augmented to make your weapons have a fire modifier/effect, or ice, or whatever they decide the 4 augments available to that skill would be.

  • Spellsword or battlemage intriques me greatly. Allways been a fan of mixing magic with blades so i have great hopes in how they are going to play ^^
  • Cleric/Tank or Cleric/Cleric

Thanks for the info.  I figured that would be the way it would work out.  Frankly I'd be happy with a battlemage type of character who can teleport in instead of charge, apply elemental damage buffs to his weapons, and have the ability to shield against magic damage (or at least a buff to magic damage resistance).  It won't take much to make me happy since it's so hard to find a decent battlemage type character in games these days.

It's entirely possible that I'll try it both ways, mage\fighter and fighter\mage, just to find out which I like more.  Plus I do love my alts.   :D

Now I'm wondering if the base class determines the type of armor and weapons you can use or if they're going to do something like ESO did and make it so anyone can wear anything but there might be drawbacks.

I really need to finish watching all of the live streams.  :p
  • Mage-Cleric seems like a good place to start for survivability. Maybe maybe not we need more information on how the classes will augment each other. I will start there and play test all the mage-?? classes during the alphas/betas and see what works best for me as I always play a one off spec.
Steven said at one point that as you level up you will gain more secondary augments for your skills at the time they said they're looking at four augments per ability (one at any given time). But this is subject to change so the amount of augments could change at any point pre release. However I don't think we will get less than four if that's where their heads were when they released this info simply because they was classes/players to feel for the most part singular and more augments = more singularity.

  • mage mage, its the only path... archiwizard
  • Fighter Main and Tank sub, the Dreadnaught Class sounds like the best fit fro me. Being able to take a little damage then turn around and dish it back, how could you at least not like the idea of being called a Dreadnaught?

No rest for the wicked ;)
  • Pretty shure that i am going to play a Siren or Soul Weaver. Both played as melee support :D
  • I will definitely play a rogue combination, maybe multiple ones to see which I like most. Assassin will probably be really wicked but I also like the idea of a Rogue/Magic combo!

Predator seems to be really cool. Being able to backstab from range seems really op. No one will be able to escape ;D

Yeah that sounds amazing too. But I really hope that no class will be really op. You can be as stealthy and deadly as you want, if there are tanks out there with badass defense skills or sorcerers who can see through your stealth, it will not help you much^^ Hopefully the classes will be well balanced in that aspect. (I'll still be the invisible backstabbing rogue that may or may not blast fireballs at you XD)

Tanks have the ability to see through stealth :D
And they also said that they are going with a rock-paper-scissors stile for class balance.
    So maybe rock(tank) beats scissors(rogue) ;D
