Question about character creation and muscular females...

Some of you might find it absolutely irrelevant or even unwanted, but i always create my player character to be big muscular fighter/warrior/barbarian type female. And It's necessary for me to be able to connect with the character and enjoy the game... Don't judge, everyone has their own angle... So my question is will the character creator in Ashes of Creation allow to create a female player character that will be muscular? I don't mean slight sixpack and little definition on the arms and legs. I mean more massive physique alike to a bodybuilder to look appropriately for wielding big twohanded hammers or axes etc...

This is the look I have in mind. It's a mod for Skyrim me and my friend made ->

The dev team says that they want to bring the most possibilities to players when it comes to character creation in Ashes of Creation... I really hope so :)

Thank you...

  • Well maybe a little more realistic than this... I posted few pics from my Skyrim mod...
  • If we are getting character creation that is comparable to bdo then you should be able to do this, at least to some extent.

It would be awesome, i realize not everyone is into that, but its just a possibility to create such character. Nobody is forced to use that look, but I'm sure there would be a lot of people that would do it. It would add to that feeling of freedom in character creation :) It took me one day to make that addon for Skyrim so how long would it take a team of professionals to do it?

XombieCrisis please stop posting those pics... I posted pics in my original question post. That should be enough to illustrate what i have in mind. :)
  • I'm just trying to assist. :)

Don't underestimate the power of the dark side.

  • Ack!

  • If we're going for the high fantasy setting I don't see why they wouldn't include muscular women?

    Amazon's are a thing, right?
  • I wouldn't be opposed to the option to have that level of muscles on girls if the guys will have it too.

Personally, I prefer to make my female characters more muscular if it's possible, but not on the same level as yours. More like this one.

Well, she looks nice, but I don't see any muscle or even a hint... :) But if they made a slider that makes a character more muscular you could use it to make her as buff as you like. I would most certainly max it out, as long as they have a decent modeler and the proportions will be good. Not like Dragon's Dogma. And obviously I dont mean them to make women bigger than men, no but atleast close to how buff men are. Especially that its a fantasy planet etc, so dev team should have their hands untied about all this... :)

This kind of look matches the image of my heroine more :)

Cant see any muscles on her honestly, just a regular girl in armor and big axe ;). But muscularity slider would satisfy both our needs :)

    Figure I made on ZBrush...

  • I usually never have anything against high levels of character creating, except for games like ARK, and so I see no reason as to why not myself, cant see it going anything past these latest three images @XombieCrisis just posted though.

    Finally, someone who gets me!
  • Wait, why make the thread if you don't want pics?  I don't like veiny on male or female.  The female thor is hot though.

You big hunk, you are hot though.
  • I am judging. Muscular girls make me want to throw up. That's really not an aesthetic that's designed to impress, on females.

Just my personal preference though.. Who knows, there are a lot of guys out there who want to be dominated, to support your want for muscular females.. But I'd personally rather not throw up on my keyboard every 30 seconds :P

Takes us heroes to be the heroes!
  • Flameh0t Nobody asks you to throw up if there will be muscularity slider you don't have to touch it if you don't want to... That's all I would want... versatility. Every MMO to date had skinny waifish bimbo looking female models, im tired of that, so I would want a possibility to create something different. If you like your skinny bimbos you would still be able to create one.
  • Can we go the other way and have grotesquely obese females too ? Your character is your character. I have no objections to anything your imagination can come up with.

Not sure if you will rip through the armour skin though ;) There are practical limits on the amount of volume change allowed to ensure clipping doesnt become a major issue. Surely you want to wear armour and not look like a badly designed cyborg,

  • I am all for a diverse character creation, but I also want it to remain somewhat realistic, or at least limited by the lore. We know each race will have certain perameters for height (so you can't make a 6 foot tall dwarf). I just don't want people running around with characters that look like they came from Ark or Dark and Light lol. You can make some monstrous  looking, disproportionate characters in those games that look nothing like humans, elves or dwarfs...
  • They seem a little too muscular to me.. lol. But I'd be ok with an option for it. It's a game - so let people have whatever they want if it's possible to get done.
  • Please no, lol.
Imho, all muscular "girls" are ugly as hell. This is not normal. Again, my own personal opinion.
