Also what's that about spawn camping and exploiting the corruption bug?

during the weekend the consequence of killing a non combatant being corruption was not applying due to a bug, as attacking a white name who doesnt engage back (engageing back turns their name purple) on EVERY kill should envoke corruption with it stacking on repeated offences not after a set number of kills as thor incorrectly states, thor stream footage from his perspective shows 4 kills at the shrine and the time he walks away saying he said not to kill anymore by time camera returns to location several minutes afterwards his group is still there killing the player so it is more then 4 kills
link to combat chart showing kill on non combatant (white name) should produce corruption https://imgur.com/a/gsbjRyv

Did a transcript of PirateSoftware's (hencefore Thor) stream where the event took place.

Items of importance are in bold

    01:51:34
Thor is writing bug report, heads out of cave to write uninterrupted.
Axzell takes massive hit, presumably first PVP hit.

    01:51:41
Khronos states "PVP'd by Apex Order"

    01:51:52
Thor Drops, says "were gonna come back and kill them, get all of the violence, we are going to go kill these guys.
(Does not yet know if stream sniping)

    01:52:10
Thor says to guild "yeah we're gonna do that, go kill them right now"
Mec (Apex) speaks "<3 we won't loot" n/ "love you"
Thor states (to Apex, presuming they are watching) you just stream sniped us, we are coming back and killing your entire guild, and we will keep you on KoS for the rest of the game... Permanent Shit list.

    01:53:15
Khronos states, "If they want to apologize they can come cry about it on our discord server."

    01:54:10
Spots Mec (Apex), kills them, loots them,

    01:55:24
Chat asks how do you know it was a stream snipe.
Thor paraphrases Mec's "<3" in chat. stating they (Apex) did that specifically to be seen.

    01:56:35
Chat: You got played by a basic.
Thor: No it's just a PVP party, where they were attacking us because they were stream sniping, and now our guild has them at war. like, we'll just kill the anytime we see them. It's not really that big of a deal. Yeah that's how it goes, dude.
Khronos: "Yeah the rest of the group ran off, that's what happens. When they can't stream snipe and have the advantage, they run off and cry about it. It's invariably what happens.
Thor: Yeap, and now they are gonna run off and cry about it and we are just going to kill them for the next several weeks, and that's just kinda how it goes. Welcome to a social sandbox video game.
Khronos: It's gonna be "we're getting bullied by the streamer guild" and not "we aggressed them while they were on stream cause we knew they were doing a bug report"
Thor: Yeah, naw, get wrecked. That's how it's gonna go. And they can come back and parlay about it. and give some kind of concession, or we'll just keep killing them (keep on KoS). Welcome to fighting against EVE players "We'll leave you alone until you bother us, and then we'll kill everything that you have"

    01:58:15
VladCervantes (hencefore Vlad) of Apex shows up, dies, (1)
Thor reads whisper "we didn't loot you, we didn't want to loot you", welcomes him to war

    01:59:17
Vlad respawns at shrine, (where they were Pirates were already standing at)
Thor say to kill him again (2)

    01:59:54
Khronos states Vlad respawned again, dies (3)
Thor thinks Vlad is purposely dying to them to get corruption "So don't kill him to many times"

    02:00:50
Thor reading /whisper "He (Vlad?) is trying to claim our guild tried to jump them (Apex?) earlier.
Thor (presuming /whisper is also watching stream) don't care, could have reported it (to Pirate Diplo)

    02:01:17
Khronos "If people have problems with our members, they can reach out to us, that's what we have diplomacy for"
    Thor "Yeap"
Vlad respawns, Khronos says stop, as they will get corruption if they keep farming Vlad
Vlad dies one more time. (4)

    02:41:45
Thor reads a whisper "this guy, this guy who messaged us" (Vlad?) says
"It's not cool what they are doing, just finding out about everything, I don't even know how to leave a guild. Anyways, I guess they're all reporting you. I left their discord and just chilling"
Thor responses "Yeah, if you want to come join us, Vlad, come join us. Absolutely dude. And I am sorry your guild has made such a foolish decision. And their mass reporting on me is not the play. When you screw up in PVP and bring the wrath of a larger guild upon you, crying to the GMs is probably the most shameful action you can take."

    End Transcript.

    Take-away (TLDR):
    1. Thor accepted they (Pirates) got PVP'd and did the EVE thing and ordered the guild to go after them, prior to believing they stream sniped.
    2. Apex only got onto the Pirate's KoS after Thor believes (at least Mec) was stream sniping him.
    3. Thor accepted getting stream sniped was possible, but "not that big of a deal" and "that's how it goes"
    4. Thor was willing to take them off KoS if they apologized and made concessions.
    5. Pirates were huddling around the shrine prior to Vlad respawning on it.
    6. Thor informed Pirates to stop killing Vlad as to not risk corruption.
    7. Vlad was the one who brought attention of the suspected mass reporting to Thor.

honestly who cares if thor was writing a bug report. afking in a open world PVP game and complaining you get killed lmao its your own fault. i liked him but after reading this, jesus thor stop whining.

also, I believe intrepid has said no shrine camping. should have reported them IMO.

also, why are you complaining in the forums about this? lol
    open world PVP game

It shows you didn't read nor understand the situation.

Thor didn't whine. He used the resources he possesses and called out a KOS AFTER he learned about Apex talking about mass reporting HIM. By one of Apex's ex-members (who quit because of this).

He then continued to call out the blatant lies spread by Apex they try to spread to fit their own narrative, while Thor ALSO provides video evidence of the true events.

great attempt at a white knight as you have given white knight like responses on other posts that oppose thor yet the KOS was given at the message saying 'we wont loot you' which at the time was a stream snipe call and was considerable amount actions BEFORE the reporting was mentioned so please next time you quote a timeline, make sure it is correct

yes, the KoS was just a normal "You killed us, we kill you. YAY! PvP game!" we fight for a bit then is done with it. If you think KoS is "crying" then idk what to tell you, it's just normal GvG. You think we are ganan be like "Oh meet here for a good old romp! we fisty cuffs from 8pm to 9pm!"
As for the stream snipping, he seemed annoyed cus he was doing a bug report sure but he has be very clear he doesn't care about it.

They're trying to fill a single server realm with a 15k member guild, I don't have any expectation of them experiencing or contributing any interesting gameplay to their side of the globe.

I did at least expect them to behave and focus on development during the Alpha though, considering the guy's supposed excellence at the profession. Spawn killing seems like too obvious of a no-go not to at least apologise for it.

Turning report threats into ingame drama also seems in poor taste. If you're getting reported in an Alpha, that should be something you sort out with the mods, instead of further adding fuel to the fire. Especially when you have the kind of pull Thor has; not like you'll actually end up banned, if you're playing by the rules.
The only one who can validate you for all the posts you didn't write is you.

To be fair there are many people in the world that would watch a stream or join a group to join a hate bandwagon, I'm not saying that's what's happening here but, it is a thing for haters joining hatred, it's why drama baiting is so effective in content creation field

Thor is free to stream and he seems to accept the consequences that. The evidence is that he more than likely got stream snipped and he accepted that risk when he went live in a open world game.

? No he does not accept the consequences of that. All of this drama is a consequence of him not accepting that. He clearly didn't stop crying about it lol

does it matter how he reacted emotionally? he didnt go after the other guild outside of the game. he just put them on the KoS list because it was a culmination of multiple things and being attacked while locked into a bug report screen would be quite the infuriating experience especially when you know the ones attacking you are watching your stream for lulz.

The problem here is the other guild trying to abuse gms and report tools to try and mess with pirate and his guild after losing in the game. Thats all there is to it.

No it does not matter, everything apart from the crying on reddit and mass reporting is part of the game. Im just saying he clearly did not accept being streamsnipped as that guy said.
If him and other streams do not protect their streams in this game, you can cry streamsniped all you want, you will keep getting wrecked.

He's not crying about being stream sniped though. He was providing context for how what the OP said is inaccurate and has video evidence for this. He was more than open to just enjoy this as PVP content.

The only reason Apex Order became KOS instead of just a simple PVP engagement that they initiated is because they were called out for mass reporting Piratesoftware by one of their own members after he attacked Apex Order back. The Pirates are just engaging in PVP as the game is intended to have so as far as I can see are not doing anything wrong. It's Apex Order that are complaining everywhere because they don't like the consequences of their actions.

KOS was ordered and cemented well before the reports talk even began

If you declare war on a guild you do not gain corruption when you kill them. GvG is not a bug its a feature. Anyone with that guild tag is free game for a time.

When ingame mechanics war is made maybe but verbal declaration doesn't negate corruption

Any potential misunderstanding between your two groups is irrelevant. Players are going to be killed in Ashes, it's part of the day to day. Streamers are no exception to that fact. Spy's are going to be a part of AoC. It's a fact. Guilds are going to spy on each other. Spies are going to locate people and other targets of interest to attack and or steal. If steamers choose to act as a spy against themselves and broadcast their location to anyone and everyone then that is a risk they are willingly taking onto themselves. Now if said streamer was being griefed by being repeatedly hunted down and killed by the same group of people over and over that would be a different story. I'd really question the streamers intelligence for constantly broadcasting their location, but that's beside the point. Regardless of if they knew this guy was a streamer or not he was a player and players are VALID targets in AoC.

The only issues I'm seeing with this story are as these.

The Actual Pirates group including Pirate Software then killed this Apex recruit. As he tried to respawn they continued to kill him up to four times, camping him at the shrine. After repeated deaths, speaking from frustration the Apex recruit said he was going to report Actual Pirates for shrine camping.

As he should have. That's clearly griefing. You killed him, he's no threat anymore. Let him spawn and move on, if he attacks again after spawn then you can kill him again.

There were multiple instances of these attacks in town by Actual Pirates across several nodes. After killing the Apex member in town, Actual Pirates would then run to the shrine to kill the player again as they spawned at the shrine. Sometimes this would go on for upwards of several deaths to the same player. Actual Pirates players would never go corrupted despite attacking unflagged players that were not fighting back. Sometimes killing them while they were still in the loading screen from the previous death.

This is hardcore griefing at it's finest, and hardcore abuse of a known bug with the corruption system to boot. That second part is the big one. Abuse of a known bug to grief other players. You are not going to convince me in any way that this streamer guy didn't know about this bug before hand, as even I found out about it quite a while ago and confirmed personally with a friend and with other guilds who found the same bug and result. Even if by some chance he wants to play idiot and claim he didn't know about it at the start it would have become blatantly obvious after the first few grief kills.

Pirate Software's stated intent on his stream, is to harass an entire guild, until they leave the server, during the Alpha testing phase of a game.

Griefing is going to happen, it's a game with PvP. It's never going to be wiped out, blatant griefing should be reported by players and punished by Dev's as that's not in the spirit of the game. Using a known bug to grief a large number of players should be very harshly punished, I'm talking breaking the ban hammer on some skulls harsh. This statement on the their stream, this call of arms to grief and continue do so until driving others away. This should not stand. If that statement is true it's crossing a major line. That's not just griefing, it's toxicity and should not be tolerated at any level. We don't need more toxic people in this community especially if they have lot's of mindless sheeple to follow their whims. Toxicity does not make games better, it ruins them. Cut out the cancer early to save the life of the game. If not a complete ban this guy should at the very least be permanently removed from the Alpha and Beta tests. If all of this is true it's clear this guy is a toxic player who is willing to abuse bugs to grief players. Set the example early, set it often, set it consistently.

It's fairly obvious that you take Apex's statement at face value without questioning and CHECKING if the claims are true or not. You jump on a train and join the attempted witch hunt. There are vods that show the real story. The timestamps got even mentioned here.

Funny how you point fingers at joining a train yet your also siding with a train that even with literal video of the events still have unproven accusations and shaky claims to their story

2.) Guild A can try to fight back. They can engage in gorilla warfare.
I think you meant guerilla warfare.
If not, I badly want to know what gorilla warfare is.

Holy shit now the english teachers are getting involved!

KOS was ordered and cemented well before the reports talk even began

No one is debating that. KoS for retaliation/presumed stream sniping is well within reason. The PERMANENT ORDER was issued after it came to light that they were getting their entire guild to mass report him because they felt like they were getting griefed. Regardless whether you think what they did reportable (I 100% do not), trying to mass report with people who were not there or part of this drama is a clear violation of tos and well worth a permanent kos order.

I'll say the whining, tantrum throwing, and shit slinging don't inspire much confidence for a mature player base ready for a PvP experience
    Were you expecting that?

    Well, yeah.

The actions of Apex warranted a KoS order.

Doesn't matter. The KoS was *earned* before there was an attempt at reporting.

The attempt at reporting just proved that the permanent KoS Order was a good call.

The fact that they said on stream to expect literally exactly this thread should tell you they know the kind of people Apex are.

I'm fairly well on record here for my opinions on game streamers (if I repeat my honest opinion here, I will be banned). I'm in no way an "echo" of Thor - but this thread kind of proves that Apex are a joke.

How is anyone coming away with this as "Thor butt hurt" and crying?

    this is basically what happened.

a scrawny drunk dude tried to pick on the big guy at the bar - big guy proceeds to absolutely repeatedly stomp scrawny dude into nothingness while scrawny dude through a blood smile says "hah, big guy crying"
