I'm hoping the DEVS will give us some info soon r/t our healing class. I know, I know, it's suppose to be a Cleric but it will be cool when we can get a look at the different combinations. You know a plate healer vs a cloth healer. What enhancements we can take to make us a viable healer/dps vs a healer with 2 dots and one dps spell and never live. Personally I'm excited about this game and will be in Alpha passing on everything I learn.

    I can't wait to start healing again.  I have always found it exciting and often times difficult to keep stray kittens from succumbing to deadly mice!

    I have missed healing groups in mmos, I thought it was dead, so glad it's back and I have another chance to show off my mediocrity!

    Half the reason I'm backing too :3 I get satisfaction from healing xD although I'll be adventuring into bard for AoC because that's my other passion xD I like supporting people!
    Over the months we will be getting in depth guides on the classes. They felt an overview wouldn't do the classes justice so hence why we have not seen much information so far.

    i'm not a healer but more of a tank. But being a Tank i hope the healers get some nice stuff to keep me alive :)

    That sounds like an interesting combination for me too. The Cleric/Bard I mean, although I am wondering if I should go Cleric/Cleric.

    I too am looking forward to healing but I'll be hoping to make it work as a bard first and foremost. We've got all those snippets of info to look forward too.

    I will be behind watching over you and the tank! 

    Maybe we can find a way to glue cotton and tissue over your scrawny bones. A little sculpting can go a long way.

    Future healer here (80% sure).

    The thing I most concerned about is combat gameplay. I am hoping for a good deal of none tab target heals that require me to move around and pay as much attention as dps. I tend to get bored just sitting in the back watching health bars and playing wack a mole.

    If Cleric doesn't work out Bard and Summoner should suffice.

    The potential for cleric class combinations is almost hard to get my head around. How different will a cleric/rogue be from a cleric/summoner? I mean, what? Yeah i have no idea how healing is going to work but i cant wait to see.

    I never found healing boring but a challenge.  A healer has to have their eyes everywhere, not just on health bars.  You have to be ready to heal that mage when you see a nasty heading his way. You have to be prepared to move quick when that boss is shooting his cone of fire at you.  You have to hope someone has your back, and boy ya better keep that tank up.  Healers get blamed when some who never heed mechanics try to die over and over.  There is much that goes into healing in many games.  Often you have to watch the buffs and be ready to cure diseases.   PVP has even more challenges for healers.  A dedicated healer is more concerned with healing and keeping the team or partner alive and not how much dps they can do.   One game I played the clerics  had their smite spells nerfed. Well after,  that many quit healing all together leaving a big shortage in dedicated healers.

    I am quite curious about the different Cleric combinations and how they'll work out but I'll most likely end up as a Cleric/Cleric either way! ♡

    i've played many different classes in many different games but always found that i like being a healer of some sort the most. i'm expecting that i will fill my character roster with different variations of healers and maybe one or two dps classes to play every once in a while.

    I agree, i always lost interest because of that... WOW. condemn the damn system.

    Happy to see so many reply's!! I will also probably go with a cleric/cleric to be a pure healer but who knows what choices they will put before us to choose from :) I have played a healer since 2004 but have had a tank to understand what they do. And a dps spec is the ability to take the pressure off after a long day at work. It's amazing to stand in the back and watch ppl stand in stuff and cry for heals. As I have always said - I can't heal stupid!!! hahahaha

    I want to be a pure healer as well but I don't want to sell myself short until more info is put out about skills and buffs. Me personally can't wait for more info.

    Not many recent MMOs have potentially allowed Dwarves + Bards so Ashes is a win/win for me. I'm glad you'll have the opportunity to strum a few buffs too. :)
