    3000 Elven years
    75 Dwarven years
    90 Orc years
3 months as a Tulnar (actually I have no idea how fast they grow. Does it depend on the associated beast sub-type?)
Where did you get these figures from?
90% pulled out of my arse  and 10% based on Google and LOTR lore if humans live to 100 (for the sake of easy math, which I still might've made a mistake on lol) and if aging for fantasy races is linear to the aging process for humans. I mean there's no guarantee that a dwarf is still considered young at the age of 50 just because it lives to 250 years old.

Elves were just arbitrarily based on 10 000 years as the oldest elves were apparently around 6000 yrs old in the LOTR universe (ofc, they're immortal to aging but we need some measuring stick)
    Dwarves: 250 years
Orcs: all the wiki said was hundreds of years (I mistakenly read it as several but it's probably more like 100~200 in span)

  • 30, newly married to a wife who doesn't like video games, with a demanding job, but I will find a way to lose countless hours to this game nonetheless!

I'm not sure what the Tulnar lore is gonna be... I guess it kinda would depend on the races general environment? After so much mixing between races of different longevity maybe they bypassed the old age issue? I can't honestly see them with varying life spans unless there are tribes totally separated from other tribes.

    As for the rest... neat.

This poll could give me hope that 'mature players' might refer to acting mature instead of mature meaning "I can swear without getting grounded by my parents now."  :D

I'm legit surprised that there seem to be more 30+...or even 18+, as the last MMO I played seemed to be overrun with players between 15-23.
It's probably those same 15-23 year olds.. just a bit older now hehe
It wouldn't even surprise me. I did get used to/become friends with a few players who managed to hit puberty and grow up a little. To be honest, as others have mentioned, age doesn't always mean maturity (or lack of). One of the most divisive raid leaders in the game was my age. But I can't help feeling a little better knowing there are so many 25+....
  • I started gaming when the Atari 2600 came out. That's all I'm gonna say about that.

I have done it for years. Of course, my wife and I have been together since I was 16, and I am 37 now....so it's pretty easy these days. She doesn't like games. The key is finding her a hobby. Lol My wife is a "digger". She metal detects, crafts, does ancestry etc. She goes metal detecting, I jump on the PC.
  • Luckily I have one who wants to be on the games as much as I do... now for cost of hardware, that's the downside to it...

Such is the case with @Isende and myself.  We always have to ensure that while our systems may not be equal, they are comparable.

Speaking as someone 22 years your senior, you've got quite a way to go before you need to worry about being "old".  :)

I'm right there with you.  I played the original Pong in the arcade when it came out and my first home gaming system was the Coleco Telstar.
  • Thirty...now that was a while ago...My grandson is ... sigh.
  • well i'm posting while i'm still under 30, but when the game releases i will be over 30...so give me 2 votes?
  • Exactly 30. I finally win in these kind of polls :open_mouth:

  • 33 here.
  • 16 here feeling like 30, does it count?
  • I actually started PC gaming at 10. 1979. Our school, which was located near a military base, was given a TRS-80, and that was handed over to the "gifted program." For those of us in the program, we used the computer to keep our school store's inventory, as well as play games.

The catch is that both the inventory management software (database, today) and the game required a bit of programming, in order to use it. For the dbase, we had to actually "teach" the computer how to think, and for the games, we had to do lots of math in order to figure out where our projectiles would hit.

I never really realized how abnormal that was, for that time; I always, however, knew quite well that that's where my passion for database design was born. I also, at that time, wanted to learn how to really teach computers to think. Wish I'd followed that career path
