I can imagine that if 120 people fight a world boss in 3x 40man raid and only 2-3 items drop for only one of the raid groups it might feel really disappointing to the other groups. Item distribution might be a bit un-balanced if fight participation is really good on a highly populated server.
I noticed that in the wiki it is mentioned that the raid which gets the initial tag on a raid boss only needs 40% of the DPS to maintain loot priority, but is it not a bit unfair to base the loot on a stat like DPS, which we won't have any way of measuring in-game ?
Suggestion:
What about having X number of items dropping based on the number of players actively engaged in the boss fight for at least Y percentage of it's HP. With at least Z number of players required in a raid group to qualify for item drops. Unless there is only one group engage with the boss that is under Z members, in which case they should qualify for the minimum number of item drops ?
Cheers and God speed Intrepid!

@Tyranthraxus (question) - While working remotely for a bit put some of our plans for video content with our team on hold, I'd recommend keeping an eye out for more of those kinds of interviews as we get settled in the new office space!
@j189 (question) - You can check out more on where we've shared our philosophy around open development, including as it relates to lore and system mechanics, here.
@Mayhem (question) - We haven't announced any changes to our plans for Alpha Two persistence!
@Darkfuria (question) - Looks like I've shared an answer with you on this topic in the past several Q&A threads! You can check out more on our philosophy around increasing boss difficulty and adaptive content here.
@RowniSciponi (question) - You can check out more on where we've shared our plans for the monster coin progression system here, and stay tuned for more details as we continue through testing!
@Happymeal2415 (question) - There will be many things to keep an eye out for during boss fights - for example, during Alpha One testing we saw several bosses that featured multiple phases/adds, as well as having to deal with other open world players who may want to come steal your glory
@AlexTheGreat1215 (question) - Previously we've noted that it may be possible to siege a coastal city by sea.
@Ancalainur (question) - While we haven't announced some of those specifics quite yet, you can check out more on where we've discussed our localization plans previously here.
@Dante Machiavelli (question), @Leonerdo5 (question) - Stay tuned for more details on artisan and crafting mechanics as we dive deeper into testing them with you!
@kyraku (question) - If you'd like to be a bit more specific on one particular QoL feature you're interested in learning about, please include it again in our next Q&A round!
@BaldorDarkfire (question) - While nothing on Verra is "permanent", it sounds like you might be interested in more of the events and social buildings that can tie into roleplaying!
@ashone (question) - Keep an eye out as we continue to introduce some of our newest hires in the coming months!
@horendis (question) - We're continuing to work with the design team to provide details on those building cosmetics, both for previous months and for any future ones!
@Immortality (question) - I would expect to see us share similar details on what features we plan to test and how you can help us smash bugs for Alpha Two, yupyup!
@Dolyem (question) - While we haven't shared specifics on how many alts you could have on one account, previously we've noted that there will be a "comfortable" number of character slots available.
@Boncle (questions), @Omniceye (questions),
@Arthurion (questions), @Jeebee (questions), @Star (questions), @NiKr (questions), @Magic Man (questions), @Airwayx (questions), @Specktrei (questions), @Jagarn (questions) - Please only share one question next time as requested, and the more direct/succinct it is, the more likely it is to be selected by our team!
@Ispencer189 (question) - While we haven't announced any details on our Alpha Two schedule at this time, you can see where we've previously shared our plans for what would be tested during Alpha Two here.
@Nemodia (question) - As there is no faction system in Ashes of Creation, PvP and its overarching objectives are a bit different - you may be fighting with your guild for control of a castle, fighting for your node's survival based on your citizenship, or simply fighting for resources you need by taking on a local caravan. You can check out more on our PvP systems and plans here!
@Wakko2k (question) - As open world PvP content will be far and wide, there will be many opportunities for advancement and gear by participating in PvP activities.
@Sosthene (question) - Previously we've shared that you'll be able to adjust the reptilian, mammalian, and humanoid elements of your Tulnar during the character creation process, so stay tuned for more details on what that looks like!
@Ugoogee (question) - Our team consists of many great talents with many years of experience across the gaming space - from MMOs to shooters and beyond!
@Bidoof (question) - During our most recent Alpha One playtests, we've started to incorporate some split body vs. root motion combat A/B testing to get further feedback on these designs!
@Toolittletime (question) - You can check out more on our philosophy around questing and what types of quests will be available here.
@Sunboy (question) - Balancing like that would likely depend on quite a lot of variables - for example whether or not it was a widespread interaction issue, or more limited in scope.
@Aeleanael (question) - Player choice and success/failure will be crucial to how Verra takes shape both through player agency and random events, so you'll just have to keep an eye out for any mysterious ones
@Azherae (question) - Barding will have multiple components that can be equipped.
@SongRune (question) - It sounds like the "broken down houses" you may be referring to were node buildings under construction that hadn't been completed yet by players - such as the Armory or the Alchemy shops. Once enough players donate enough resources to the relevant NPC, those buildings enter their finished state and you can craft and purchase goods inside!
@Zakharov (question) - As you noted, since we are still very early in our Alpha test stages at this time, there will be many more passes on all kinds of animations as we move forward!
@Banshee (question) - We do not currently have any plans to separate different server types.
@Sorcres (question), @truely (question) - Stay tuned as we start to share more details on what to expect for Alpha Two once we get closer to kicking off that test phase!
@Elderkaioshin (question), @Talents (question) - Keep an eye out for more archetype blogs and videos debuting their skills and augments as we progress throughout upcoming testing!
@Keybind Gaming (question), @Whisperfall (question), @Barab (question) - Please remember to add your question to the thread before submissions close next time! They typically close 24 hours prior to when the stream goes live, so we have time to gather all of your questions.
@Emberstone (question), @Jokery (question) - Since we didn't quite get a chance to answer your question this time around, and I couldn't find a reference for where we'd covered it before, please feel free to share it again in a future live stream Q&A thread!
We'll see you all again next time for even more questions and answers!
