No Discrimination is a Design Flaw and is Immersion Breaking

Steven recently revealed that, "no, there's no, there's no, there's no built in, umm-uhhhh, there's no built in discrimination provisions" that you can set for your freehold/property. And I see that as a huge design flaw and immersion breaking. Players already discriminate against each other by making race specific guilds, and this will probably be the same in AoC with guilds AND families AND religions. Why not extended that social feature to active game play?
Some rando player can keep buying my food buffs from my shop and keep killing me. Or that annoying person in world chat that I don’t want to be associated with so I set it so he can’t buy my stuff. By allowing everyone on the server to gain access to my property I will be supplying my friends but also my foes.
This design flaw also breaks the game's fantasy immersion. Those Tulnar always stink up my Dunir Tavern and break my beds. If you can't fork up that extra gold (every other race is regular price, Dunir get discounts) to get my sleep buff then get the hell out of here.
House models need to include these discrim... social features too. Am I to expect that those giant mammalian Tulnar are suppose to be able to fit through a regular human door? Or an even smaller Dwarvin door (because why would a dwarves' house have a regular human sized door on it).
In conclusion, Intrepid is practicing poor game design by not implementing discrim... certain social features into the game. I hope they realize this in development, but will certainly hear about it during A2 testing.

I mean, why are you giving your rivals permission?
Everything about this thread is wrong.
Oh yea I see what you mean, you are right, they wouldn’t have permission to use your crafting stuff, only your guilds or family. But I still stand by the rest.
You probably wouldn't be the best person to do business with anyway.
We should at least get a trial period with this so we can test it out.
I don’t see why I should allow people to buy resources from me when they are going to turn around and use those resources against me. Hardcore classic wow player griefs 34 players on 4 horsemen. I would never want to play with that person again and he needs to be punished for being a nuisance. So, I ban him from my taverns. I don’t see the problem with that. This actually promotes players to act respectfully or they will be punished.
or find 40 friends and beat them up lol. he doesnt need to be punished.
Will you buy alpha 2 key?
This isn't a make or break for me, just a simple suggestion. It's unfortunate that the default reply to many of the communities suggestions are, "this game is not for everyone." Be apart of the conversation. Don't shoot it down with a one-liner that isn't constructive. Conversations can create change.
I already spent $80 to beta test Diablo 4. I don't think I want to do that again.
I think we can assume that from the stupidity of the post.
chill he already got a spanking with his username change, we should give him a little bit of a break. If the legendary Fantmx is after him it might fully break his soul.
Ouch, don't remind me, I'm still recovering from that
But on a serious note, we all know that there are nefarious characters in MMOs. Some players sole purpose in MMOs are to disadvantage other players! Depraved mentioned above that you could possibly kill that player with 40 others, and kinda "grief" them yourselves, but that just promotes griefing. And with the corruption system you still might be penalized for killing your griefer. Being able to blacklist nefarious players from your tavern would incentivize that nefarious player to not act so nefariously.
Ideally one should be able to punish another by killing in open world with some reward to the winner and some loss for the killed one.
Yes, I want body parts for trophies! Skulls, Hearts, and other things for crafting materials!!
Let's get some love for this suggestion, then!

Make a tulnar only guild and rise up and war everyone who isnt a tulnar :P
Here's an example. You own the inn near a very valuable farming spot and your guild/alliance are attempting to keep the area under control to prevent over-farming penalties. With a blacklist you would be able to slow down any rival guilds/griefers attempting to operate in the same area. They would have to get their food buffs somewhere else or just not at all depending on travel time. Just thinking logically it doesn't make sense that you would sell these useful services to these guilds/griefers trying to come in and take or otherwise ruin your guilds intended farming location.
Of course it comes down to preference and I don't care if you think its fine/not fine. I just think we should have the right to choose either way.
Oh, we will. Don't you worry.
If you want to exclude an entire guild from using your freehold services, you should be able to
Who says you aren’t in the matrix created by Tulnar already?
