Also, it's only natural to munch on some bait, when it looks tasty
The issue is that OP got bored and needed something to do for the last few hours.
you are right about the boredom but my concerns are real. AoC is gonna tank and it makes me sad
Thanks for the warning, appreciate, here's FF14 website go enjoy yourself there forget about this dead game https://www.finalfantasyxiv.com/
final fantasy is terrible and an ugly game.
ESO or WOW on the other hand... You know MMOs that have the formula correct..
Lol
I'd link BDO myself, its not a good game. All mmorpgs are trash right now. The only reason why old ones aren't dead is cause there is nothing new and good to play so its a meme on him saying people are playing them.
In fact they removed more pvp out of BDO and player base is still leaving/not growing.
Yeah that's cute. Except the bulk of ESOs players don't use steam. ESO has about 250k average concurrent users and is actively release new content regularly. As far as MMOs go it's actually not that good due to horizontal progression But people play it for the stories. If it had more vertical progression is would be significantly more popular.
which compared to a more popular PVP title like Albion online which can't even hit 50k concurrent even with dedicated asian servers. But thankfully it's a pretty low budget game so it doesn't need to do record numbers.
And the other example Lineage 2 doesn't even crack 10k.
I think it's safe to say that games where pvp isn't mandatory are just better games, and the consumers have proven this many many times. Player happiness stays higher for longer when they don't lose their stuff to murder hobos which are an unavoidable consequence of any open pvp no matter what restrictions you pretend will stop them
If you think all current MMOs are trash maybe it's just not the genre for you? There are plenty of fun MMOs no matter what your play style is..
You clearly can't read information no one is jumping on the game and not growing. You like to make up numbers I see.
This statement doesn't make sense with your current points. The genre is not in a good state.
Tell me you did not read anything in the Wiki without telling me you did not read the Wiki.
And of course only people who agree that PvP has to be opt in only are those giving "real feedback". Talking about a "not a REAL Scotsman" argument XD
https://albiononline.com/news/albion-player-record
And even just official russian L2 servers float around 30k on average.
And majority of L2 players play on private ones, because those servers have pvp rules closer to what Ashes is inspired by.
-Don't buy the game.
-Don't download the game.
-Don't log in.
-Die to pve mobs and stay on the death screen eternally.
- Are you still reading?
- But seriously go play another game instead with features you like.
- ???
- Profit (mostly for us)
And both L2 and Albion are niche gameplay wise, because one is isometric and the other is 20 years old with rooted combat. Ashes would attract and keep way more people than either of those games.
I was worried about this too but now that I seen the last few streams, I think players who fear of being ganked will have things to do and ways to enjoy the game without being ganked.
Only PvEers full of pride who want to show they can defeat the strongest bosses will lose it. Those kind of players are not good for the environment of Vera, as citizens.
Albion uses a coloured system in territories too. Its not even full on pvp 24/7. Blue zones are safe, yellow zones you have to toggle pvp, red zones like yellow zones with no restrictions and black zones are full on pvp. I don't see the correlation to why Albion would mean Ashes will be niche.
My point is she wants a pvp toggle which hasn't boosted albion also nw has a toggle and no one toggles for pvp until max level now after scaling in pvp was removed.
