  • hi there, just a little question, what happens when a player on ashes die?
    do they have a choice of getting revive from where they died or gets transported to a kind of save point.
  • Earlier you claimed that guild wars would be possible, if for instance, two guilds with guild halls in the same city suddenly declared war on one another, would the city turn into a civil war state with open PvP grounds behind the city gates, where opposing members could fight it out in the streets laying waste to the city? Or would they have to find an arbitrary battleground somewhere outside to confines of the non-PvP zones within a city. (I say non-PvP zones loosely since you can arbitrarily kill someone within the city as long as you're willing to accept the penalties for such an action)

    Assuming huge success of the Ashes of Creation 2-3 years after release, what are your plans to keep people engaged?
    I do know there will be content updates etc. I'm more concern if you are planning to be innovative and hook us "players" for a long time.
    Are you planning to maybe incorporate AI system which could run quests in game seamlessly? I don't want to go into details of technology but I do believe you know what I'm talking about. If not let me know and I will elaborate on it ;)

  • With the game being so far from release, is there any predictions as to what the system requirements will be needed to run Ashes. I'd like to start saving now if I am going to need a new rig lol.
  • Will all the exclusive backer skins and dyes promised via Kickstarter be available to the other players who did not back the game, at some point in the game or in the future?
  • If the Nodes are constantly being affected by what the players are doing then will Dungeons also be affected the same way? Like say one of the nodes being built into a civilization becomes very large. Then could a dungeon pop up in a cave or something where creatures would spring forth and try to take down the civilization. Then become a two part urgent quest to defend the city and then take out the remaining creatures and bosses in the dungeon.

    I think a mechanic like this could keep people engaged, specially when things take longer then expected for an update. Would probably have to be like Trion Worlds game Rift's zone bosses. where you'll need 40+ people to take them out and anyone can join. A non instance based dungeon(s).
  • You mentioned in a previous Q&A that some dungeons will only be unlocked when a node in that area reaches a certain stage. Does this mean that some dungeons, or even some raids, in the game may never see the light of day? Or are there systems in place to point players to these areas so that at some point that content will be revealed?
  • In general how will the magic system work? Will it be component based, mana, a combination? Will spells be crafted, cast or written into a spell book?
  • So as a node goes up in level, settlements, cities, etc. are formed and the node expands in area? That is, the territory it "controls" gets larger and can prevent undeveloped nodes from forming? Is there a limit to the size/area of a node? So, in theory, if everyone got together (hey, it could happen) and decided lets concentrate on building up just this one node, would that node/territory just keep growing until it took over the whole world? (Of course, if I'm misunderstanding how nodes work, just send me home and disregard this question.)
  • How long will the Q&A Streams be going on three days a week?

    Will housing be attached per character or per account? If one character has a freehold, does another character share that freehold or can they too have their own?

    QUESTION: Regarding primary skills that are augmented, will there be any type of Skill Chain implementation?
    For example, Two class skills activated on same mob varying augments give bonus damage or cause additional elemental damage.

    So one question has not been asked …

    What happens if one server finds the perfect combination of nodes, to prompt certain events and gain lets say some of the best items in game, What will stop other servers from trying to replicate if possible?

    I have been wanting this question answered for weeks…… please pick me!

  • What will happen if nodes stay static for to long? Say large guilds/alliances are keeping everything the same and no one can actually siege/destroy these nodes. Will there be a mechanic to force change, say monster raids gradually increasing in difficulty after a set amount of time?
  • Viewing your Archetypes the damage, tank, and healing combinations seem pretty intuitive. What combination would be good at CC'ing?
  • Can we expect environment interaction when fighting Dungeon bosses. Switches, things to stand on, puzzles etc and not just tank n spank. :)

  • Will healing and tanking classes be as able as DD classes to progress through the game or will party up be necessary?
    In many games, Clerics and Tanks are mostly sitting ducks hitting like wet noodles until a dd comes to 'end' the boss. Will single dungeons be impossible for the support classes?
  • A lot has been said about open world dungeons and 40 man world boss raids, but little about instanced content. What are the plans for instanced content, especially raids, at max level?
  • I know that it has been said that we will have pets that we can raise/train to make them more useful as well as breed them. Is there any chance that player could battle their pets in a pet only type of fight?
  • Will there be vampirism and lycanthropy in the game? and if so how will it effect players?
  • When a metropolis is destroyed...will there be ruins where the metropolis used to stand? It would be cool to see that added history to the nodes, until that node gets redeveloped of course. People should then be able to use the old materials found in the former city to build up a new one.
  • Will your artisan class have any leveling limitations tied directly to the adventuring class? If I wanted to make a crafter alt, would they be able to work on crafting and eventually become some kind of 'master crafter' without having to level (significantly) the adventuring class as well?
  • For the gathering artisan path will mining involve the gathering of precious gems in addition to just various ores?
  • I am fascinated with the potential of the economics designed in this game and everything related to sea-based content.

    Question: What sea-based professions or artisan classes could we see?

    Examples:
    Shipbuilder - Building ships for others, yourself, or guild
    Dockmaster - Owning your own dock to charge rent for spaces. Perhaps it's your own property in high-level node cities only
    Sailor/Captain - Perhaps people hire you to pilot their ship to the rumored treasure zones or area without crashing or getting attacked - possibly even purposefully seeking out sea-based monsters.
  • It's a daunting thought that there are 64 playable classes. Will we have an easy opportunity to test them all during alpha and beta testing for us alt-aholics.
  • How in depth will the breeding system be. I've read that there are unique traits that can be passed down, but there are other aspects I'd like to see.
    Will there also be a taming system where you'll have to go out and catch the animals like other games do via dart guns or minigames (Ark survival / BDO), or is it a system where you just buy the animals off a store (Archeage)?
    Will i be taking care of them during the breeding / gestation process, or is it just a click a button and wait to see what happens in 21 hours or whatever time frame.
    I know you've said you can breed Horses, and livestock. Will you be able to capture and tame any animal you run across as a pet like in Bless or will that be it?
